Registered 16 years agoI am so ready for Ant-Man and the Wasp. Then again, I'm ready for pretty much any Marvel film, but I really didn't expect to enjoy Ant-Man as much as I did so I'm looking forward to the next one more than most other Marvel stuff

I think the highest rated comments on the article say enough. But it goes on.

Also, some of the comments about the film from black activists/bloggers on twitter offer... I guess you could say racially charged hot takes.
I don't think any of the other Marvel films (from the other 18) is made for any demographic other than comic book fans. And I don't think Black Panther was made purely for a black audience. -

I mean, oh no, some people are excited that a blockbuster film represents them just like some people felt about Wonder Woman. Regardless of whether it's a shit or good film will it actually affect your enjoyment when watching it?

Sure, it's not made purely for a black audience, but even I can understand why a massive, well marketed Hollywood movie with a primarily black cast and director might attract a lot more interest to that section of the audience. Even on a fundamental level, it's always nice to see people you might personally identify more closely with on screen. Heck, I still get happy every time Fitz pops up in Agents of SHIELD just because he's Scottish.

For those that it doesn't speak to on that level, it'll still be a solid and enjoyable Marvel movie

No but you don't have to look very far to find some people using this film to sow more division. That sucks. And it's very easy to find on social media.

So?
I mean I don't really see why my point of view is a problem on this. -

I know you guys all have this twisted way of looking at things but social media is the most powerful platform in the world. It is synonymous with real life, especially in the younger generation that has, literally, never known life without it.

Soundtrack looks like it'll be something special - hope the movie isn't the usual Marvel routine.
