Let's be honest though it's proper home will be PC,  look at L4D yes it came out on the xbox but that is pale comparison compared to PC.

    (Trying to justify buying now)

Yeah, probably. But if it's relatively cheap and I got buddies to play with, fine.

    Man this is tempting.

Proper co-op games are simply too rare. L4D was ace, I cannot understand why Valve didn't do any more content for it. New campaigns and perhaps some character development and customization would have sold like hot cakes, no?

Goddamnit this makes me want them to make a Warhammer 40k version. Something around Battle of Macragge, Armageddon Wars or even the Horus Heresy would be incredible.

As much as a 40k version would be entertaining, I don't think it'd have the same visceral feel of slicing through Skaven hordes as this does.

Good to see the review had problems with Wheat and Chaff too. Fuck that level!
  • Deleted user 27 October 2015 09:33:11
EG gave it a 'Recommended' review, though the review itself is light on detail, such as how combat works :champo2:, and seems focused on the areas that need improving.

I dunno, I can see a chainsword being good fun in all this.

But still, I'm once again very happy we got a good WH Fantasy game before all the Age of Sigmar licenses got handed out. This, TW and Mordheim are a pretty strong final group of games.

Powerfists, Chainswords, Lightning Claws, Storm Shield and Thunder Hammer say you are wrong!

Better quotes as well. Fucking Heretic.

I'm more referring to the enemies though! Yes, the weapons are more fantastic and exaggerated, but the enemies lack the simplicity of just being an all consuming, mass horde of Skaven that I think makes Vermintide great.

Plus, with all of those tools, your character would be so overpowered compared with an elf with a Bow, and a Dwarf with a shield.

Plenty of scope in the Tyranid which are basically a meaner, all consuming, mass horde.

That said I want Orks who are more fun than both.

If they make a 40k game like Vermintide I would want Adepta Sororitas and the imperial army in it, less superpowered means more danger and thrill. All these big dudes in powerarmor get boring after a while.

Must admit, I don't know much about 40k in hindsight \o/

Deathwing is definitely a different beast of a game, but it's co-op, hordey and 40k with what look like credible production values.

Not really, it's a common theme of the universe - any of the Armageddon stories or Tyranid invasions would work. Even Chaos can have unlimited jabbering cultists to throw at the enemy.

Back in the day there was even a tabletop scenario where the Tyranid player could just keep on respawning units on the other side of the board, and the other player just had to survive enough time.

But anyway, fuck 40k, it always gets all the attention!

Added Sharzam, basmans_grob and Beefenstein / A Rum Fellow.

Sadly there appear to be 6000 results for Nomad.

My steam name is neems, shockingly enough. Lower case 'n' and a Celtic Shamrock as my icon.
