Inadvertently, I found that I actually loved playing the Bright Wizard

the only reason I really tried her was that the bastard loot system has only given me greens for the wizard so far. But, fuck me, the glory of fire!

Had a go at nightmare difficulty and won through the other day. A few hits and you go down, friendly fire and not that much to scavenge either!

It helped that the rest of the team were in their mid fifties.

How deep is the loot system in this exactly? Haven't really been following it and reviews don't talk about it all that much. Do weapons have unique abilities or is it pure stat differences?

/looking for an alternative to Diablo.

Brought this on impulse after hearing good PC reviews. Brought it then saw there was a beta and played that.

Beta had that couldn't use invert control bug and FPS dropped into single numbers. So I was a bit wary after spending before playing beta.

Shouldn't have worried, invert bug was fixed. Game was smooth as I played through first level with randoms. This was on Xbox. Still think the dwarf sounds like John Prescott. Also had Dwarf problems as I couldn't see inside a chest that was on a table. Had to jump to look inside, dwarf first world problems

I played the tutorial in the demo (xbox) thought is was ok. Is it just a hack and slash ? I was hoping for an RPG.
It reminded me of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic on 360, which I did enjoy mind you.

It has RPG elements in that it has a loot system and basic crafting. But I really wouldn't call it an RPG,� as mentioned elsewhere it is a different take on Left4Dead.

I have it on PC and rather like it but never had friends to play with so haven't done too much on it.

Basically Left 4 Dead with Warhammer fantasy setting.

Did get some new gear after completing first mission. New weapons for witch hunter with armour piercing mod. Don't know how Deep the weapon, armour perks system goes.

The beta had some issues. Sometimes my camera just got stuck when I was being hit by the rats. I love it on PC, on Xbox they need to fix some issues first before I can play. Looked quite playable framerate wise.

@Dizzy I had the same issues in that the camera would always seem to start looking toward the sky. My friend who was playing at the same time didn't have this issue but he didn't invert his camera so i think this might be the problem.

Vermintide is on sale this week on Xbox marketplace. A new update with a bounty board went live last night and the new DLC comes out next month in the 17th.

I've been playing the base game over the last week and I'm really enjoying myself. I'm finding it a bit hit and miss with randoms so if any EGers still play this (Xbox) feel free to add me. I'm currentky working my way through on Nightmare difficulty. I do need more blue gems to unlock traits on orange weapons so I hoping that I can get some from this bounty board. Bar scrapping weapons I'm not sure how to generate them.
