So its been voted through and Labour and SNP both abstained.

Not surprised by Labour abstaining as they've never really valued civil liberties but I thought the SNP were better than that. :\

At least the Lib Dems stood by one of their core beliefs, all 8 of them. :(

This might be of interest to those bothered by this law. You have to cook it up yourself at the moment, as it's pre-pre-alpha stuff, and it won't stop your ISP (and thus the snoopers) from telling if you connected to eurogamer or gamesindustry since they while they share the same IP address, neither of them support https. But anything that is under https and on the same IP address would be largely indistinguishable. And it means that servers that carry your DNS requests on the way can't see what sites you're visiting.

You laugh, but I bet the word 'halal' was mentioned more than once when this was being dreamed up.

It's fair enough to be proud of the author who wrote 1984, doesn't really mean we have to replicate his fucking work.

Do you get an OCSP error? I got that the first time I tried it, but the next day it went through fine, so I assumed it was a new site and wasn't fully registered with the OCSP servers yet. But if it's still not working for you then it must be something else. It still works for me, is all I can really say.

I think over the last few years there's been various upheavals over the bill, but the government has done what all democratically elected bodies do best and repeatedly 'debated' and 'redrafted' the bill until they can push through their agenda and the majority of people are too browbeaten to bother anymore.

That and the small matter of the western world shitting out its own guts, which has been a mild footnote.

    Good riddance 2016 frankly.

But only if they don't focus on a woman's pleasure.

It's really something that after 2 years of fighting ATVOD, the exact same legislation is trying to be passed again but this time with even stricter attempts to force ISPs to filter the internet.

Because it's been worked up by a bunch of people who are

    1. men,
    2. women who are afraid to admit they have any sexual aspect to their existence
    3. people who've had sex once out of a sense of duty and didn't enjoy it

I need queening and urophagia to get anywhere near hard seeing as I have the listless sexual appetite of a 60-year-old colonel.

If it weren't for proxies I'd have to actually start using my imagination which hasn't had an outing since 1997.
