The space force won't be enough and Trump will propose a ceiling be added to the US to keep interplanetary migrants out

It's an invisible wall. You can only see it when you're, like, really smart. Also orange.

Yea they should just tell him they built an invisible wall and give him the invoice. The dotard's not going to notice.

I can't figure out how these elections work. Is the overall share of the vote important, or is it the number of wards (or 'congressional districts' they seem to call them) that go their colour?

Seems they have 18 seats in the house of representatives, and there seems to be about 18 districts on that map. But apparently they only have one vacancy in the house at the moment. And all the districts seem to be voting.

I wonder what results would have been if PA didn’t have hideously out of date electronic voting machines with no paper record.

I think their politics is much like our Brexit Referendum vote, in that it is 2 parties at polar opposites.

Funny thing is, it's not really polar opposites at all - it's really just right and extreme right wing. Did you see the "lubberrall" vote turnout? Something like 0.6%.

Well I suppose in the states when it comes to the republicans it's vote for the party not the candidate and that's why a lot of fucking weirdos with some reprehensible views are commonplace in their political structure.

Ha, yes I guess compared to other nations and how left and right is perceived.

To be honest, I get a bit sick of the labels - Should be 'is this going to be excellent for my fellow human?' but aware this is cuckoo land.

@JamboWayOh Same here as well, with a large chunk of Tories + Momentum.

Yeah I tend to facepalm when I read "that guy/gal is soooo boring". Politicians should be boring - i.e. sensible, reasonable, polite, honest (lulz about that latter amirite). Anything else is just reckless.

    I hadn't expected such a close victory...

That state has been blue since 1992. That the dems barely manage to eke out a victory, is still disturbing news. If it's going to be the same for 2020, it could go either way.

You mean the thought of an eye patch wearing, cigar smoking politician surrounded by bikini wearing ladies while flying round with the aid of a jetpack while he talks about fiscal policy does not appeal to you?!

That is fucking insane that, out of two hundred and thirty thousand votes, there's 500 votes between the candidates.

It's also baffling that the US can have such a neatly halved population. I can't understand how their democracy can function even as badly as it does.
Uhm, that's just the results of the first few counties, isn't it? Pennsylvania has a population of 12 million. Or didn't I get something?

    edit: duh, nevermind

wow still banging on about trump when your own citizens are having military grade nerve agents used against them. It was a cop that found them. What if it was a kid? Whats UK's response nothing! Pathetic!

Glad they didn't use commercial grade nerve agents.

And it wasn't a kid because there aren't many former Russian spies in this country that are under 16 years old. There just too temperamental because of puberty.
