I hope the Dems rally round whomever is elected. Remember we have had four years of Trump - we know what he is like and how corrupt he is. Surely anyone from the Dems is better than another four years of this corrupt administration?

I think Bernie has a better chance than Biden. Biden represents the same establishment democratic muddled thinking which had voters asking "What the hell do you stand for?" to Hilary.

Bernie has a simple and easily understood message "tax the rich and rebuild our nations infrastructure" which I think would be more appealing to the average voter if he had a national platform. The backfiring of the attempted ambush at the Fox news townhall meeting showed he is closer to rust belt voters concerns than they think. He has also given the clearest stance on the hot topic of abortion that the choice should not be a concern of State or Federal government its a choice between a woman and her doctor.

    I think.

    He's a socialist-leftie-commie-pinko though so no chance.

Biden hasn't been accused of that afaik. He "only" creepily strokes women's hair and massages their shoulders without permission.

Isn't it great that we're now comparing presidential candidates based on a rapeyness scale? Welcome to 2019.

Maybe it'll work in Biden's favour. They did elect Trump.

Apparently the Donald Jenius Trump just Tweeted that he did not lose lots of money, he simply committed fraud and tax evasion instead.

"President Donald Trump has asserted executive privilege over special counsel Robert Mueller's unredacted report as the House Judiciary Committee prepares to vote to hold his attorney general, William Barr, in contempt of Congress. Chairman Nadler responds to that letter." MSNBC

The executive privilege thing is just weird. Why hide the report he keeps claiming totally and 100% exonerates him from any accusation?

It doesn't have to detail his criminal activity in order to display him as a horrible, horrible human being.

Trump's real issue with it is that it doesn't say he's the greatest crook of all time. It seems to put him only halfway up on the scale and he won't have that.

I do find that America often feels the most 'foreign' place to visit. So similar and yet… not. Anybody else?

Yep. I find I have much more in common than the French, Dutch, Germans than Americans. I need an exit strategy if we do turn more populist like the US. Fuck that.

On the plus side, we've all got a built in exit strategy that will resolve everything after a few decades.

So, these tariffs on Chinese goods that Trump keeps increasing - he realises that the tariffs will be paid for by American importers, bit the Chinese, right? I mean, he surely had this explained to him by his advisers, even he didn't know it before right?

But it increases the price of the goods for US importers and makes it more beneficial to order stuff from within the US. So both parties are hurt by the move, just the Chinese are hurt more.
