Come on, we all know it'll have been the biggest independence day crowd in history even if only 2 people turned up

That said, there are big parties planned for after his event, so people will be in town for those anyway.
I believe most people leave Washington around this time to escape the heat and essentially won't be at this event. Regardless I'm looking forward to his to totally not political, non partisan speech where he won't totally go off the rails.

Can you imagine it if there are flash floods..

‘We really could have done with some of that global warming hey people’.

It’s shocking to think that we might have a head of state almost as embarrassing as him soon.

So he wanted to have a bigger parade than France and now there are half a dozen military vehicles stationed in front of the memorial? That is so Trump. Also how he said that this is showing the American people the strongest military in the world.

And of course he said "brand new Sherman tanks" would be among them (out of service since the 1950s). He also clarified that this 4th July celebration is "gonna be about this country". Can't wait for his speech, many say the most inspiring speech in history

It isn't generally that hot yet in DC. It isn't August. There will be a bunch of parades, with the rest just BBQing etc. We once rented kayaks to take out onto the Potomac to watch the fireworks, which was ace.

Also, I received flash flood warnings every week it felt like, but never experienced one in central DC. Although when it rained super hard the drains couldn't cope so there would be 20cm of water in the cycle lanes, so that my feet would go through the water on the down pedal.

When and why did they change it from "war of independence"?

Maybe he was talking about Iran's Revolutionary War? Did you naysayers ever stop to think about that, hm?

Helicopters with tomahawk missiles. They had to control the airports because that's where the fuel for the helicopters were kept.

I can't laugh at these idiotic statements anymore as the US population on the ground (and outside social media) seems to just roll with it.

Oh....calm down guys it's cool. It was just the rain that somehow distorted the words on his teleprompter (that he doesn't need because lest we forget, he has told us he has one of the world's best memories) to say the word airport and reference an event that didn't even happen during the war of independence.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/48885319

Glad that's all cleared up, for a second there it looked like he must be a total imbecile.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/07/foreign-office-orders-inquiry-into-leak-of-cables-on-trump

So some cables from the UK ambassador for the USA got leaked. They're quite damning. Jeremy Hunt however has a view of it that might make you vomit.

“We continue to think that under President Trump the US administration is not just highly effective but the best possible friend of the United Kingdom on the international stage.”

Almost makes it sound like the UK's choice between Johnson and Hunt is one between death by acid pool and being burnt at the stake

    The comments reveal...

That it is the USA Freedom Kids!

The dad filed a lawsuit against Trump for failing to deliver on several promises after their performance.

At least one of those girls will break indoctrination and be mortified beyond words that this video will be the first thing that pops up when you Google her name.
