    Nice :-)

I also enjoyed the 'they didn't help us in Normandy' rational.

It was a very, very, powerful article that he had read to him.

That truly bemused me this morning. I mean WTF is that about? It is astounding to see a state leader make comments like that.

His advisory staff must have been face-palming furiously in the background. It's utterly ludicrous.

Well they didn't help America in ww2 and it's been waiting all this time for payback.

But he read about Kurdistan in article. It was a very powerful article. So it's OK.

When will we in the West stop fetishizing WW2? It's a particular problem in the UK, but when the US Prez doing it's even worse.

Trumps reaction to the Harry Dunn crash:

"The woman was driving on the wrong side of the road, and that can happen.

"You know, those are the opposite roads, that happens. I won't say it ever happened to me, but it did."

The Normandy quote. I couldn't believe it was real. It's not even a stupid attempt at spin. It is just stupid in itself.

If Trump is going to base his alliances on WW2 does that mean he is going to side with China against Japan?

I wonder if there's a way to measure the stupidity of his tweets, against how much trouble he's in legally and politically. As the impeachment thing progresses, he may have to go lower and lower. I'm almost excited to see what that looks like.

I really hope special forces or SWAT have to go into the white house to drag him out to be arrested (if they want to arrest him with a grenade, thats fine as well)

The strong and stable relationship AHHHHHH

This is the inclined time for a United Europe under a single flag and strong in its banner as a warning of the past and by virtue of the future to awaken from the drowsy warmth and take up again if not the reins of the world's destiny at least those of one's own

After WW2 Europe, or at least all of it except a large part of this (let's see who is good and catches the quote) lived under the protective umbrella of the USA. There is nothing to say. They have been excellent liberators / conquerors. The best possible in history, especially considering what there was then, Hitler or Stalin. They have allowed us to live in peace, freedom and well-being (though this well-being is also because we have not 100% taken their model of society, but we have mixed it with a bit of European social-democracy). Obviously we have become their subjects, but as we say where I come from: "sticazzi". In other words, it's better to be a rich butler than a poor villa owner.

But now it's America itself that takes a step back. It's America itself that no longer wants to be an empire. This would be the same even without Trump and his gaudy ways. It's time for Europe to take own responsibility. It's time to raise our heads and to be together again (despite what we want of ourselves) masters of ourselves

Russia, Turkey, Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia, China. The world is no longer bipolar or monopolar. Europe must find its space

And YET AGAIN you fail to mention the mighty Zulu empire. Your disrespect is abominable.
