Republicans always get that really swollen overfed looking face, regardless of How old they are.

They get that face when their adult daughter calls them 'Daddy', but because their penis doesn't work anymore the blood just rushes to the their head instead.

It's just weird that he has such a weird, puffy face on TV. Like, they have makeup people and such.

How on earth has the country become so polarised? It's fucked up. The UK isn't far behind
Social Media + Internet in general.

I know we all probably aware of this, but it really is the elephant in the room with regards to it not getting any better any time soon.

I remember McCain chiding someone in his audience at a rally for having a go at Obama. I also remember watching his particularly classy speech after losing.

Those days are long since dead. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if trump took a shit in the presidents desk before leaving.

@Psychotext Yep - It's always been partisan, but with respect for the office.

It wouldn't surprise me either, although I doubt his diet will allow a solid stool to come out.

It's always been partisan Ė to some extent Ė but there's been an acceleration of the polarisation starting in the mid 80's and then really falling through in the early to mid 90's.

I'm definitely of the opinion that new media (for lack of any real word) is a net positive for polarisation, but that's only really since the mid to late 2000's.

Before that there was Murdoch and his Fox News which arrived in 96 so something else is rotten. Maybe it's just as simple as the fact that the US only have two parties. The whole slavery thing and the lack of reparations is another probable driver imo.

A society that's very visbly split in two, where one political side seems to have taken the stance that it's not their fault and the other that maybe it is, should be prone to polarisation.

It should be easier for internal and external forces to influence decisions (or just magnify conflict and polarisation further) if things are just set at or near a 2 party state. There will be so many positions under a broad church there has to be leverage to swing things to dominate a whole party.

Same as in the UK isn't it?

We're seeing more entrenchment and shit flinging in Sweden too, where we have eight parties vying for power. We have similar jingoistic streaks on the conservative right, similar kackhandedness on the socialist left and similar "Why won't everyone just be friends" meekness from the centrists and greens.

We're not at US levels anti mask protests, but then again... we don't wear them to begin with.

So, apparently Megan Markle is running for president (well, thinking about doing politics but hey) and I think it's brilliant.

Time for the US to come home. They tried and failed. Nothing wrong with going back to your roots to find yourself.

    MAGBA!

The internet exacerbates division but itís not the be all and end all on that regard. We are far from as divided as we e been before.

The English were fighting civil wars half a millennium before the dial up modem had been invented. Americans were killing each other in huge numbers back when tweets were tapped out in Morse code

This is brilliant. Trump fucks himself out of some votes via lawsuit.

Just a thought, Republicans vote by mail too.. any many of them wont be smart enough to send their votes back exactly as the lawsuit requires.

Kyle Rittenhouse's mother welcomed as a special guest and to applause at the GOP conference. Not questioning the morals of how or why a 17 Yr old owned an assault rifle to travel across state lines to take part in 'defending' a place, but actively celebrating it and thus encouraging more of it. America is so fucked.

Cocaine aside, this whole voter intimidation thing is going to result in lives lost at the polling stations.

Don Jnr's going all out as on one of his horse pill binges he panicked and realised they're all going to prison if they lose the election.

All Democrat voters should just invest in MAGA caps solely for voting purposes .......

Iím seeing a promising number of Biden signs and flags around here, and considering Iím in a relatively well off and overwhelmingly white and Christian area (our main road has three churches right next to each other, and a megachurch just further down the road), in a deeply red state Iím feeling the slightest swell of hope. Aside from a rare bumper sticker, Hillary signs were non-existent here in 2016.

I get the feeling that Biden will win the popular vote with relative ease.

The big question is what happens then: will it be enough to win the election? What if the whole thing is rigged? What if Trump doesn't want to go out quietly? Etc etc.

Trump won't go quietly but if Biden wins overwhelmingly there won't be anything he can do about it.
I'm more worried about these poll guards and how much damage has already been done to USPS and its ability to handle the votes.
Oh, and Biden sundowning and coming onto the debate in his pajamas.

The debates are going to make zero difference whatsoever.
