Fucking hell what an asshole. I absolutely will never understand how evangelical Christians can look at Trump and think "Yep, that's Christ ambassador on earth."
    Blackmail for one thing.

Iirc, his general theory is that pretty much every NWO type theory is rooted in anti-Semitism and all the lizard people shit is just shorthand for ‘the jews’
To be fair all of those theories are just rebrands of the Protocols, so yes?

Out of interest, did Elon Musk ever say who he voted for in the election? When asked about this in September 2020 he gave his views:

"Mr Musk went on to describe his political views as "socially very liberal and then economically right of centre, maybe, or center? I don't know. Obviously I'm not a communist"."

    More on this page:

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-election/elon-musk-vote-trump-president-us-elections-b681470.html

A quick Google search doesn't reveal who he voted for.

I'm not a huge fan of Musk as a person, he seems a bit 'unstable', but I like what he's done with SpaceX (although I don't like the idea of tens of thousands of Starlink satellites potentially polluting the night sky).

If anyone wants to watch the House Impeachment Vote against Trump, the session starts at 9am EST (2pm GMT) - it can be seen at various sites including these:

    https://live.house.gov/

    https://www.c-span.org/

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnyfYgu5iqg

Not sure if I'll have the time to watch it but I may be able to catch bits and pieces.

Given his COVID opinions I'd put him firmly in the Trump camp.

Is he allowed to vote? I thought he was a South African citizen?

He was part of that CEO advisory board or whatever they called it, at the very beginning, if I remember correctly - until he left (was it due to Charlotteville? Not sure).

Musk quit that board because Trump left the Paris Accord:

Ah - well that kinda makes sense.

Fwiw, I also have him down as a Trumper even if not a fundamentalist one, but self serving.

Musk is moving his shit to Texas to avoid tax. He shits on his workers and he's a "redpill" prick. He's pretty obviously team shitstain.

He is no fan of Biden's richboy tax.

Yeah I don’t know whether he’d be a fan of Trump the man but its absolutely nailed on that he’d love being above the law and free from oversight or regulation and taxation

Yeah I know a couple of Musk cultists. So far I've been unable to convince them that someone can be a genius potentially helping to make the world a better place through their inventions, and also a complete dickhead in other ways.

Like, both of those things can be true, one doesn't cancel out the other.

That being said, I'm not sure that he's a Trumpet.

Not trump, but a welcome piece of incoming justice for something that has been let go on for far too long.

Awww... poor babies, looks like their empire is well on its way to collapse.

Also, this is astonishing. There was clearly planning involved beforehand (Capitol Riot / Coup attempt):

Yep. Stephen Colbert did a good job summing it up in one of this week's Daily Show intros.

"Panic buttons were inexplicably torn out ahead of Capitol riots, says Alyssa Pressley chief of staff"

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-election-2020/capitol-riots-alyssa-pressley-panic-buttons-b1786678.html

Assuming there is no 'innocent' explanation for this it just adds more proof to the pile that the insurrection was planned beforehand and that some people normally inside the building (Capitol police? one or more Republicans?) did this.
