I feel like a bad parent. When my son was 14 he went on a school trip to New York and I only dropped him off at Manchester Airport... The shame..
The guy literally blamed his kids for going away. https://twitter.com/MSNBC/status/1362470974243942403?s=19
I truly didn’t realise you were only supposed to leave them at the destination airport. -

Devil's advocate for a moment. Was his wife seen with him? I heard she was but haven't seen any helpfully red-circled photos with her in them. I was wondering if the story that his kids were going with their friends was in fact true, and that's how the Cruz's had heard the hotel had space - from their kids' friends' families.

Ha, god he's full of shit. He really is. Depressingly people will believe his cock and bull story.
Still mind-bogglingly thoughtless for HIM to jump on a plane right when the state he represents is in crisis. I don't really understand how anyone can say he had no responsibility as it's not his job to deal with such crises and so it's fine for him to bugger off, but true to form the Republican apologist hypocrites have leapt to his defence.
That utter arse-wipe Trump Jnr pretending their governor is a Democrat is classic Trump. Either too stupid to know what the fuck he's talking about, or knows exactly how wrong he is but also knows if you stick to the lie, enough people will believe it for it not to matter when you're caught out. -

Registered 15 years agoDon't fuck with the tax man, Trump... (I hope he can literally feel the walls closing in on him)
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday paved the way for a New York City prosecutor to obtain former President Donald Trump’s tax returns and other financial records as part of a criminal investigation, a blow to his quest to conceal details of his finances.
https://www.reuters.com/article/BigStory12/idUSKBN2AM1MN
The justices rebuffed Trump’s request to put on hold an Oct. 7 lower court ruling directing the former Republican president’s longtime accounting firm, Mazars USA, to comply with a subpoena to turn over the materials to a grand jury convened by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, a Democrat. -

His claims of wealth that so many vapid americans cling to as a reason for him being successful are going to be publicly and loudly dissected while everybody watches. The humiliation alone will be glorious, criminal charges are just the cherry on top. -

Registered 14 years agoLast summer the Australian PM fucked off to Hawaii during a national bush fire emergency.
He lied about going, lied about returning early, and when he got back the first thing he did was host the Australian cricket team at a party in Sydney. His excuses for going on holiday we’re “I don’t hold a hose mate” and that he had already promised his children a holiday.
He then attended the disaster area, forced a woman to shake his hand, and when she started complaining to him about the Government’s response he turned his back on her and walker away.
He is now ahead in the polls by a huge margin as preferred PM.
Cruz will be okay

Registered 14 years agoHe is also the man who made himself a trophy for stopping asylum seeker boats, brought a lump of coal into parliament, announced he was going to the football in the same press conference announcing a national lockdown, and more recently had to have his wife explain to him why rape is bad and lied about his office’s cover up of the rape of a staffer.
I actually hate him more than Trump

Doesn't help that the Labor opposition is functionally useless, too. -

He is a marketer, and he apparently hates the nickname “Scotty from Marketing”, but I don’t think he’s particularly good at it. He is a terrible speaker.
It’s just his government has completely captured the media which is overwhelmingly owned by Murdoch and favourable to his government.
So people just don’t hear about all his fuck ups and he pays no political price for his numerous fuck ups and open corruption.
