It's very nice, clean and "next gen". .gif)
However, a few remarks:
- Mallorca and the Black Sea should be visible
- the inner border of the white map circle should be on the same level horizontally as the letters; in other words, the whole globe should be slightly smaller -
Gah what was the point of posting this when only koti and fruit_salad are around... -

Registered 20 years agoHeh, I was thinking more retro. Reminds me of the BBC news, circa 1980, perhaps.
I don't think the world should be aligned with the rest of the font. It isn't in the current logo, though perhaps in the current logo it's obviously not trying too hard to look like an 'o'.
Anyway, in short, yeah, that's pretty nice. Certainly more work safe for many of us

Registered 19 years agoThat blue is too bright. I'd have preferred the dark blue you guys used for the PSP logo. -
Nice, follows the "keep it simple" school of design. Not too sure about the colour though, it's a tad cold.
Don't forget to register it as a design mark, a Community Trademark preferably! -

Registered 18 years agoI like the blurry effect on the current one. The new one looks worse to me, except for the "globey" bit because it now shows Europe. -
God. if you have all these opinions about the logo I'm thinking the new site wasn't such a great idea after all -

Registered 18 years agoIt looks like an 80's news-broadcast title.
It's a bit lightish blue on the eyes, it's going to take a few days of irritation again to get used to it if this is the new general colour of the site.
A veyr euro-focussed logo, btw. Maybe it's time you hired a mainland employee!

Quite good. Perhaps a tad bright as renzo said, and it looks a bit too 80s BBC for my liking, but there you go.
I totally agree with renzo about dulling the colour to the PSP blue, but then you'd be t3h b1as!1!!1! -

Rauper - take no notice of these guys. They can say what they want but at the end of the day, you get to run this place, while they only hang out on the doorway trying to look cool.
I'm looking forward to the update tomorrow, and whether I like the logo or not is irrelevant as this is without a doubt one of the best communites (during the week anyway ) on the internet, and you should be proud of all your hard work.
Any chance of a job?

We're gonna finish off tonight, go to bed, wake up and put it all live. That way we'll be alert to any problems that arise for fixing. Probably about an hour of downtime in the morning when the time comes... -
