Does anyone have an iPod remote that they are not using?

The wires are starting to come loose on mine and the headphones are starting to crackle and cut out. :-(

For free would be nice :-D, but I'm willing to pay for them.

The Apple store are doing them for Ł25 new with headphones. I only need the remote as I use my own phones with them.

I'm in London btw.

You can have mine if you want. It's for a 3rd gen, I assume it'd work on whatever yours is.

I'm deadly serious btw - I'll happily give it away for free, nada, zero. I must have had, ooo, 4 walkmans and 3 MD players over the years and I never use the supplied remote. The extra weight on the headphones has always got on my nerves, and I hate using the supplied clips.

My remote cable broke ages ago, this seems to happen way to much. My iPod is perfect 18 months later though.

Walking home just now my iPod was really playing up, crackling in the ears, remote not doing what it should, really pee-ing me off.

So I think I wonder if yegon got around to sending it and will it be here by monday?

In I get and what's waiting for me? A little jiffy bag with a hand written address, open it up and there is a sparkly iPod remote inside! (I can't believe mine was ever that white viewing them side to side :-)
