New info here.

Looks like the first next-gen only Tales - announced for PS4 and PC.

Revolves around a girl called Velvet with a claw for a left hand. There's pirates too. And apples.

There's only been one so far, but I think it's done reasonably well on Steam.

Don't get your hopes up too much, it's on PS3 in Japan. Hopefully the PS4 one will be alright since Namco never include Japanese text on their PC releases.

Apparently this is set in the same world as Zestiria, though in the past. Also, the boy is supposedly a seraph.

It's PS3 as well, we just aren't getting that version in the west.

Even when the games stop supporting the PS3, I doubt much will change. They don't seem to have a particularly large budget for these games, sadly.

I don't think it's possible to have low enough expectations to be impressed by 'amazing' features such as 'free run'.

At this point they could just release a Tales game maker that juggles around a few variables and story elements and every user can have their own Tales game.

Call your protagonist Axel Swordheart twiddle a few settings and you're good to go.

Looks quite nice. Make sense that it is PS4/PC only this time. I can imagine the PS3 version of Tales of Zestrira sold feck all in the west.

@Fourfoldroot I could care less about the sad fan service nonsense. I think it detracts from the game more than anything.

@Fourfoldroot It is nothing to with being a social warrior (though if you want see the issues of the treatment in women in Japan, that is another story, but it is rather awful, you know a country where sexual harassment is legal). I just see it as cheap and detracting from a good game.
