Jesus, life's too short for dominos! That's coming from someone who stood in a store smoking cigarette for well over an hour to get all the cigarette cards. That was probably just about worth it as you get cash/semi-cool stuff. |

I did but then everyone stands around looking awkward and wondering where the plot went. -

Registered 17 years agoDiscovered I had a map in my documents that show the areas of legendary animals. Using it I took down a white fox.
Is it right that animals hardly go do with one arrow unlike the tutorial section at the beginning of the game?
I stalked this fox like a pro, downwind, called it from a bush close by and struck it with a precision arrow shit right in the face.
I got 5 honour and the fox went down. I was genuinely excited as it all seemed to finally go perfectly ..... only for the fox to get back up and run off.
It got away this time. So I camped and tried again the following day. This time I blew its head off with my trusty Springfield. 1 shot and down! -

Registered 15 years agoYou can craft improved arrows that will help with that, you'll need to kill a lot of birds though. If you check the compendium under the progress tab, it will tell you what the best weapon to use is.
It doesn't matter what weapon you use on the legendary animals, you can't damage the pelt, so you can have at them with whatever you like. As well as selling the pelt to the tracker for a new hat or whatever, don't forget to visit a fence to see what trinkets and talismans you can craft from whatever is left over. -

Wait a minute. Is this actually conveyed to the player at any point?

Registered 17 years agoWalked out of the cop shop in Saint Denis after grabbing the bounty poster. Pressed wrong button and instead of jumping on my 'oss I grabbed the nearest copper in a choke hold.
Well. Shit went bad.

Registered 12 years ago@crashVoodoo you didn't press the wrong button, insanely, choke hold is the same button as get on horse. Mind bending design decision.

Registered 13 years ago2 and a half months and I'm finally finished with rdr2.
Game should have ended with Arthur.
I can see the appeal of doing an epilogue similar to the farm bit of the last game but it goes on waaay too long here.
I loved the dialog and the very pretty environments but they made the game too big and unwieldly to fit comfortably in my favourites list.
As a cowboy simulator it's second to none though.

Registered 11 years agoSeen the end credits. Enjoyed it but felt it outstayed is welcome slightly.
Having my feelings about how Arthur didn't really getting the death he deserved but overall very much enjoyed it.
Won't hang around for multiplayer though

There are two ways in which he can die depending on what you choose in that particular mission.

According to EG's sister site USGamer there are three possible ways for Arthur to die - he either dies from his tuberculosis, a bullet to the head, or a knife in the back. I knew about two but forgot about the other

Registered 17 years agoWhacked a good amount of time into this over the past 2 nights. With other open world games I'm susceptible to burning out on side content so and decided to push the story on just in case.
I've just started chapter 4 but I'm still loving it. Saint Denis is a stark contrast to the rest of the world so far and I'm getting a similar feel to Witcher when I wandered into the city. Much prefer it in the wilderness -

Registered 12 years agoBit late starting this and am currently exploring on chapter 2. I managed to kill the legendary bear but killed whilst carrying it's carcuss back to camp. I have the horn (lol) but was wondering if it respawned once it's been killed? -
