Misquote the Imaginary Witch was possibly overrated or might be the best game. So maybe that or maybe not.

It's no Feather West, or Touch The Hutch.

Yeah, the jump physics weren't right. It lacked the charm of the original too.
You both take that back, it was critically acclaimed and rightly so!
Yeah, if you got the Special Edition, Day One DLC and Game remembered to include the pube in the pre order. Some of us didn't get the pube that allowed the jump physics to work. I was just sat there tugging away at mine to try and get over that first hurdle, in vein.

I was expecting something mind-blowing, instead it was merely amazing. Disappointment of the year.

    Everybody goes to Rapture

What a load of bollocks that was.

Let's be honest, all of them. Nothing this gen has been particularly brilliant. Some good games, yes; but nothing outstanding.
Someone might as well just repost this every 4 years even though it's never true.

At least they finally implemented the passing mechanics the series was crying out for. Although I was a bit miffed that they removed the mana system.

Anyway have you received enough responses to create a definitive list original poster?

    I would say Witcher 3

I've never played it and never will so it must be overrated as it gets zero out of ten from me. I literally got no enjoyment from it

TBF it probably does help to be high or drunk to enjoy these games. Flower is a cool tech-demo, but after five minutes a hedge-watching simulator does get old.

    Destiny
    The Witcher 3
    Batman
    Halo 5
    Fallout 4

I always wonder what is even meant by overrated in this context. A bunch of people like something and so rate it highly, other people disagree because they didn't like it.

So, what does the term overrated mean? Is it just another way of saying, "I don't like something and my opinion is the only correct opinion"?

    Yes.

@LittleSparra in that case, it is a bit arrogant and egotistical.

Well, yes, only if think there's no such thing as objective quality, so you can also try explaining why Neighbours and Shakespear should basically be regarded in the same way.

One is a soap opera and the other is a playwright. What was your point :-P

But this is gaming, where Shakespeare is slated for choosing the wrong word in scene 3.

'Overrated" is the most passively offensive term around.

Great that you feel the need to try to lessen the value of someone else's opinion whilst raising your own as if it's 'right'. Please stop.

Of course. You bought it knowing nothing about it and therefore it wasn't what you expected. Logically of course the game is therefore overrated. Yes, everyone involved must have been high.

    You twit.

Most disappointing game (in your opinion) of this generation.

    Amirite?

    Fallout 4. Easily.

Witcher 3 and The Last of Us deserve their place on the list of shame.
