@thedaveeyres I persevered with The Last Of Us but thought it was average at best. Was glad when it was over.

Only overrated by the media though. Most gamers seem to dislike it.
I actually loved this and it was probably my game of the year.

Took me right back to playing games in their purest form.

    Sega CD games?
I also think Her Story is a very special and enjoyable game. Not overrated in any sense.

I thought Fallout 4 was gash. I didn't enjoy Phantom Pain neither. But I wouldn't see because i'm common like Aunt Bessies, Lambrini and teenage pregnancy

Ooof, massively so. Talk about a series going out with a whimper (the pathetic season pass and PC version are just the brown icing on an already shitty cake).

As a serious answer I was underwhelmed to varying degrees by The Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and Metal Gear Solid 5.

What are "indie" games as opposed to indie games?

    Oh, and Fallout 4. Meh.

Fallout 4 was my favourite game of the last 12 months with over two weeks of playtime and a bit of the main quest still to do, but I can totally see how it would be underwhelming for a lot of people. The central mechanics for all the Bethedsa games could do with a shake up.

Fallout 4 for me. So much anticipation - still fun but got old so quickly, felt like the heart had been torn out of it.

Is it "massively overrated"? It's sitting at an aggregate of 85, with individual scores ranging from 5/10 - 10/10. Everyone is aware of the issues but it's still, overall, a well designed/made game with lots of content. Above average, surely, and 85 isn't quite in the realms of 'Best of the Best' material. City and Asylum are both in the 90s.

Dunno mate, it's nowhere near 85 out of 100 for me so yeah, overrated in that sense.

Destiny was definitely overrated. Warframe does the same but with such better content.

Although the combat is untouchable in Destiny, I'll be buying Destiny 2 just for the combat.

Dragon Age Inquisition, unquestionably. Critical acclaim upon release, then Witcher came out and people seemed to remember what a good RPG was, which isn't shallow gameplay, repetitive quests and a storyline with zero urgency.

Warframe was the opposite of accessible though, was F2P so was even more grindy, and ran like shit on the PS4.

I had my fair amount of gripes with Destiny, and I don't get the fervour for it, but while Warframe did a select few things better I felt it was much worse overall.

Yeah it was the content and matchmaking that I felt Warframe done a lot better, the classes also had a lot more to offer with the abilities, plus it just had a lot more classes (20+).

I get what you mean about accessible and free to play though.

I went into Arkham Knight expecting it to be the weakest in the series. It ended up being my favourite. I'd call it underrated if anything.

As for the original question, Halo 5. As a big Halo fanboy for years, 343 have taken everything good about the series and shat on it.

spot on, never got why the game reviewers where praising it

But fallout 4 wins top spot, tried to copy the factions and companion's story quests from new vegas and fucked it up. Add it crappy and dull repeatable quests which some half arsed building houses/trash heap
