I think they should have offed Leia instead of Han in VII, he was a much cooler and recognisable character than she.

But Ford only agreed to come back if they killed him.

He wanted to die in Jedi

Hmm. Not that keen on the title. Interesting that it's written in red though.

Hmm. Guess it's a decent title. Wonder if it's talking about Luke or Rey.

    It's all Luke babyyyyyy.

Yoda said he'd be the last of the Jedi. TFA's opening scroll calls him the last Jedi.

Hope we get to see a 20 year montage scene.

Luke is the last of the Jedi. So I think the title is referring to Luke being front and centre.

I always assumed that the "Return of the Jedi" meant Jedi singular, as in Luke, rather than the collective whole of the order. The concept of there being huge numbers of Jedi didn't really exist in earnest at the time that film was named.

Alternatively it was Anakin "returning" to the light before dying.

So if the The Last Jedi is Luke, what is/will Rey become? What defines a Jedi? Being trained by a Master? Because unless we're going to see some back story that expands on Luke's training, he was only ever trained by Yoda which means is he's a Jedi, then surely he can take and train a Padewan, like Obi-Wan did?

Talk about reading into things. Three words and it raises so many questions. Good title IMO.

Yeah. I'm sure Rey will become a Jedi. She's just strong in the force at the moment. Or force awakened... :)

Isn't return of the Jedi title in red, connects to Luke more than the "red" dark side connotations.

As mentioned above. Why is the title in red? Hmm...

Jedi can be both singular and plural as far as I'm aware. Which could mean anything.

What it does mean is we'll get a poster and trailer soon. Perhaps Disney wanted to wait till Rogue One made over a billion (which is has done now) before getting us hyped for the next one.

Gonna need to re-watch Looper and Brick at some point soon to reacquaint myself with Rian Johnson's potential.

I have a small hunch that episode 8 will have a bit of a Godfather 2 vibe, showing Rey's training with Luke intertwined with Luke/Kylo's history.

The last Jedi could refer to Kylo's long-term plan to exterminate the Jedi thus becoming the last Jedi himself.

    Wonder when the trailer's out?

I would say it would be out for Celebration but that's a bit too far away. They normally show another trailer or sneak peak that nobody else would see.

I'm hoping it'll be this weekend.
