It was from the mythical "google search engine". Legend has it you can type in questions and it gives you the answers.

On the plus side I think it did change Kylo Ren into an interesting and actually well acted character but on the down side Rey is still boring and wooden but that's almost always the fate of the White Knight character so I don't know how much of that is down to Daisy or just what she has to work with.

Ren is pure YA novel stuff. Very well acted though.

To be honest, I thought the premise of Rogue One was pretty boring and the Solo film doesn't interest me at all, but I wouldn't mind a Snoke standalone film to bridge the gap between the middle and latest trilogies.

I'm off the exact opposite opinion. Both Rouge one and Solo sound interesting (and I haven't even bothered to watch Rouge one). But a film about snoke? 😴💤😴💤😴💤😴💤🤢💩🚽🚾👎😹😹😹

Rogue ones sounds so good you haven't seen it (it's really boring)?

I've just never gotten around to it. There's also a part of me that's trying to resist Disney turning start wars into an annual cycle.

But when Rians new trilogy hits the cinema I'll be there for sure.

    Finally got to see it

Driver and Gleeson are excellent together as boys trying to fill the boots of giant evil men

Porgs, salt foxes and Trico from Last Guardian might make this the best entry for animals so far

Hitting reset on the rebellion losing the war so that we're basically where we were at the time of Empire politically is a cop out

The set pieces were all cool but the plot thread stringing them together didn't really hold for me

Snoke's throne room looked amazing and those red samurai guys were totally bad ass

Poe really came into his own but I felt more invested in Rose than any other young hero

Kinda feels like if Star Wars was a rock band Force Awakens would be the glorious reunion tour and Last Jedi is the lumpy uneven album someone like Rick Rubin produces for them a few years down the line. It makes the right moves and it's certainly enjoyable but the vibe isn't quite there.

If by excellent you mean a 7/10 film, I fully agree.

It's fucking Star Wars. Space Wizards and made-up bollocks and pew pew and zoooooom and 1.5 dimensional characters. They're all 7/10 films. The very best kind of 7/10 films.

I AM GLAD THAT WE AGREE!

I re-watched the space battle of Rogue One yesterday. Now I hate TLJ ever more. What a colossal fuck up.

Bombers actually do something in R1, X-Wings fly in packs with attack patterns, Star Destroyers have guns that work.

That's all well and good but didn't you notice the erratic flight patterns of the X-wings in the final battke? Are we supposed to believe these are actually trained pilots? I audibly scoffed in the imax cinema. And before anyone says it was a nod to Wedge Antilles shock and awe attack in the battle of Morgon 5 you're forgetting that he was flying the vastly more maneuverable A-wing in that battle and the tactic just would NOT be feasible in the more heavily armoured X-wing. Absolute mess of a film.

@Decks True, I vastly prefer the single X-wing attack pattern to take out any big ship/death star/planet.

What's your take on being able to stop blaster bolts with the force?

    Is it fictionally plausible?

Anyone else noticed the misogynistic theme of the light sabres?

    They are very phallic centric.

I want to see people being massacred with glowing vaginas in the next film.

Maybe Rey will “absorb” the energy from Ben’s mighty sabre in the next one, in a novel use of the force
