Friends has to be the whitest sitcom ever. I'm glad Fresh Prince was being broadcast around the same time.
I watched the first few episodes a few months ago, itís still awesome.

I, and all my schoolyard chums, loved Desmonds. I even watched all of the Porkpie spinoff even though I can't remember a single thing about it.
He won the lottery and the whole premise of the show was based round that. Riveting stuff really.

I don't have much hair so never need to frequent a barbers, but there are so many of them around nowadays that I like to imagine they're like Desmonds or the barber shop in Coming to America. Just a bunch of blokes sitting about bullshitting with each other and rarely cutting hairs.

I remember quite fancying Desmond's daughter.
And that his missus, Carmen Munroe used to be on Playschool.

Didn't Tony both not die and go on to star in Enterprise?

RIP former Aussie PM Bob Hawke. We can probably thank him for that Simpsons episode.

I'm pretty sure it's used on a advert for anchor butter that i saw the other day. Took me a while to connect why the music seemed so familiar.

Niki Lauder. Well, you canít say he hadnít lived a full life, a couple of lives actually. World Champion three times in the era when everything- the track, the rules, the car was trying to kill you at every opportunity.

Lauda was a true legend and his passing makes me sad... Always enjoyed listening to his sometimes harsh but honest and fair takes on things. :(

I remember watching his crash, and thinking no one survives that. He was back racing in 6 weeks and only lost the championship by a point to Hunt when he retired from the Japanese GP (the rain was torrential, they would not race at all in those conditions today.)

Total respect for the guy. RIP.

Jackie Stewart said he saw his return to driving and watched him in pain as he slid his helmet over the fresh skin grafts. After practice there was blood running out of it because heíd been rubbed raw. Then he raced the next day.

I did not know. I do know the Sopranos song the lyrics are in a minor key yet the music is in major. Fascinating stuff
