I'm going to have to rewatch Young Frankenstein now. It normally gets rolled out every Halloween in place of scary movies. Possibly my favourite movie ever. -

Registered 16 years agoI only watch Young Frankenstein for the first time a couple of weeks ago when it was on TV. Really fantastic film that. Almost peed at Putting on the Ritz .gif)
Fantastic performer with impeccable comic timing. -

Registered 15 years agoHe was great. Had a really unusual comic energy - sort of coy and sweet, but also a bit sharp with it. Nobody else anything like him.
I'm a particularly big fan of his section in Everything you Always Wanted to Know About Sex. Such a brilliant performance. So subtle and funny. Highly recommend if you've never seen it. -
I loved him in that, but I find it hard to watch old Woody Allen because his newer stuff is so shite it makes me sad -

Edit: No disrespect to Jon Polito of course, his passing is worth repeating for those that missed it. He's one of those actors you'll recognise from something. Great performer, he will be missed.

Registered 10 years agoYeah it was odd as it was only put up on a site a couple hours ago and I hadn't really been online the last few days as I was working nights so I completely missed it -

Registered 14 years agoRIP Brangelina - 2004-2016
Angelina Jolie just filed for divorce.
Seeing as Brad and Angelina had essentially fused into one, the gargantuan Hollywood entity known as Brangelina, I thought this thread was an appropriate place for an obituary.
I've never given any particular shits about them, but now that they're breaking up, I genuinely feel a bit sad. It's weird.
They weren't just a power couple - they were demigods looking down on the writhing mass of humanity from their His & Her jewel-encrusted Olympian toilet seats.
If they can't make a relationship last 12 years, what hope is there for us mortals? None. No hope. We all die alone.

What. A. Fucking. Legend.
To be fair she went a bit Mother Teresa in the end. This is the original hollywood wildchild. I wouldn't be too happy if one day I'd been hanging the back out of Jolie and her incandescent best and the next day I've got six kids and the wife keeps fucking off to African orphanages.
I'm team Brad all day long.
I'd even do bum stuff. -
