Yeah it says region free so I'm guessing it's the US copy.

Don't remember Blu-Ray being that expensive early on?

The best Dredd is in 3D... so stick with the bluray!!!

Other than Amazon, what places ship US UHDs to Europe?
Alternatively, anyone used any services like Borderlinx?

Pretty sure Bordelinx will charge and you will get done by customs too.

Bordelinx do charge, and they cover customs.
But I'm not going to pay for Prime and wait weeks for dispatch for Marvel/Disney films (which are the majority of my purchases) because Amazon are in disagreement with Disney.

@Technoishmatt That's always an option, but I figured I'd try to save someone the legwork if I could go via an established business route.

More seriously though, is it actually that hard to get UHD blu rays in the UK? That is pretty annoying as I plan to continue my collection when I go back.

Nah, you can just use Amazon UK.
Iím in Sweden though, and donít want the Nordic languages.

Plus the US versions are the only ones that tend to come with digital versions.

For anyone who cares, May is going to be an expensive month. Gladiator, Braveheart, The Matrix, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan and Die Hard are all out.

Decent films, don't see me treble dipping and at a premium too. The biggest issue I have with 4k's is the price hasn't really come down, in fact the real showcase action films price has gone up, it was 19:99-24:99 for all at launch which for tight old me was pushing it.
But the Disney films (the best visual ones) are now 26:99.

    Cunts, that is all.

Would like out if they started offering cheaper versions without the blu ray and digital versions bundled in

I wish more films would do the box set thing like Harry Potter did. I would like to get the Marvel and Star Wars films but Disney seem to be holding them back for something. Just want a super fancy collection.

Annoying with Justice League that (even thought I wouldn't have bought it because I didn't like the film much) the 4k version isn't the fancy collector's edition. Surely if you're buying 4k discs you are really into films and might want the fanciest version?

Apple TV was a game changer for me in terms of price and getting free upgrades to 4k versions of films you already own.

I was always into collecting physical versions but the difference between them (in quality) and Apple TV is pretty miniscule. Add in the price difference and its a no brainer for me.

Depends on your setup. Iíve got friends who say that all streaming media sound quality is shocking. Then again, theyíve spend thousands on speakers, amps and the like.

Personally, I think the ATV quality is pretty damn good. Certain films Iíll get physical copies of, others Iíll quite happily buy or rent on the ATV.

I really hope they donít fuck up the transfer of Die Hard.

I know they did the Bond films a couple of years ago, so theyíll be out in 4K soon enough. That will be one mega box set.

Just dropped in here to say Die Hard is out and it looks fucking magnificent. This makes me very happy. Gladiator is also fucking superb too,

Some of the special effects (mainly the spoon) look very dated now but other wise you could mistake it for a recent film with a Deadpool 1 type budget.

Sequels are coming to 4k later this year so i know I'll buy them as well.

Got Gladiator to watch as well which HDdigest strongly praised.

GoT is upscaled rather than true 4k so might just stick with the Blu-ray
