| Some very positive previews appearing today and the visuals look outstanding. I enjoyed the R&C games in the past so very tempted to grab this next month, and it's a budget price release which is nice! |

Played and loved all of the PS3 titles, so can't wait for this one!
Was tempted to play through the remastered PS2 trilogy, but might as well just jump straight to this one I guess... -

Registered 18 years agoJust grabbed it for £24.97 from GameStop, very happy with that

This is possibly my most anticipated title this year. Clearing release day so.i can hammer it, can't wait. -
I'd rather spend a few quid more and go with a tried and tested retailer like TGC... Gamestop are a big bag of shit at the best of times!
Two "lost" orders (for the same fucking game!) and a nightmare "pre-ordering" a Wireless headset 2.0 (which had been out for months at the time, but they somehow can't differentiate between out of stock and future releases)
No thanks! -

The draw is in the controls and gameplay, not the world, the characters, the story, etc. (although they're decent in this too).

Borrow a mate's console, the game will be over in 10 hours I reckon.

Registered 17 years agoDoes anyone know if this has space battles and mini moons like crack in time?
The space fights were quite basic but it was a nice change of pace during the game. -

I've never played R&C, but I thought it was a platformer originally? Like Sony's answer to Super Mario Galaxy?
Thought they turned it into some shooter in the later games? -

I hope so, there were some pretty cool platforming on those mini moons and added an extra exploration factor.

Yeah it is primarily platforming but there's also other things like shooting sections to add variety. This is a kind of remake of the first game, one of the later games in the series was more of a multi player shooter.. Was it R&C Up Your Arsenal?
Huh.

Registered 10 years agoIt's as much of a shooter with crazy OOT weapons as it is a platformer IMO -
Wha? There's been more shooting than anything else since day 1.
It's all about those wacky weapons. -
Yeah, shooting (with some ridiculously inventive weapons) has always been the main appeal.
Platforming always felt tacked on as an afterthought... -

Registered 10 years agoOh my god these games are superbly written, directed and acted. Some of the funniest game moments I can remember have been in this franchise. -

Registered 17 years agoIt's a retelling of the first game but it's actually an entirely new game.
Crash Bandicoot was the original PS platformer touted as the alternative to Mario, from Naughty Dog. -
@Derblington
Sounds great & it's not full priced either!
