@Ror MGS V came out the day before my birthday and my first thought when I saw the release date for it was "well I can't be accused of being picky about presents!" -

@Ror Outside of the first hour I loved MGS V. I did miss out on the birthday easter egg as by the time I got to play it, it was the day after my birthday.

Registered 12 years ago@FuzzyDuck I didn't buy it at launch, even though I wanted to, because I just didn't have the time to dedicate to it. I decided to leave it until I could give it my full attention. Then I read a lot of people saying they started tying the online stuff more and more into the game - it sounded like you'd be handicapped if you only wanted to play the SP, which kind of put me off. I still really want to play it though.
I can't wait for GR2! That's going to be so effing good. -
@Ror Hmm, I played it in the first month before they fiddled with the online stuff, so not sure how it impacts on things now. The minute to minute gameplay is just so good though, it's almost a crime how well everything is nailed down for it (Fox Engine, gameplay), for it to be thrown on the scrap heap.
Hype for GR2 for sure! -

I'd love a few surprise stunners as May-August does look kind of dead with regards to stuff that appeals to me. Maybe the rest of the year if I'm honest. For me only NMS and Mirror's Edge interest me and even then I'm still a bit wary of how they'll play out.

Don't think I've actually bothered reading a review of a R&C game since the first one for the PS3. They nailed the formula yonks ago, so if you like one game, you're pretty much guaranteed to like the next one.
It's $40 on the US PSN, and I've got $20 credit so might as well cancel my TGC order and get to play it tomorrow... -
