You get it on the 2nd playthrough on challenge mode. -

Registered 17 years agoahhh, you don't get the multiplier on the 1st playthrough? fair enough. Still massively helps though. -

Registered 12 years agoWell over half way through my second play through. Think I'll have enough raritanium to upgrade all the weapons but probably not careful enough with the multiplier to get enough bolts to buy all of the super weapons. -

I had to lower it to get through the final level so went in on easy. I think I need better guns, to say the final boss is cheap would be an understatement !
Can you lower the difficulty at that point? Im nowhere near the end yet..
I beat the final boss without the Ryno, its not difficult just stay mobile and refuel. Its in no way cheap or a difficulty spike, i actually thought this cant be the final boss as you said it was so hard! -

Registered 17 years agoEG faithful,
I've got the Ryno and all gold bolts and defeated the end boss.
Need to complete all the card sets. Do they carry over in challenge mode? -

Registered 11 years agoI've one Gold Bolt to get, other than any that are on Star Killer Base (🙄
and just need the one last Rhino Card.
If you finish the game without all the Gold Bolts can you get them in challenge mode or are there a whole new set of Gold Bolts to find? -
The previously grabbed bolts and cards will already be collected when you start challenge mode, but I'd advise on picking up the last Ryno card before you start it -

Registered 7 years agoI've really enjoyed the game so far. But from a kids point of view- there's not much to the characters, no real reason to love them. The dialogue for the most part is a bit cold and as far as mascots go I can see why R&C themselves aren't banner names for Sony. There's very little personality between them.
Aside from that, it's a really fun game and I'll enjoy getting the platinum for it. -

Registered 7 years agoAll done. Decided to get the platinum trophy as it's been fun enough to play. Slightly discouraged that all the weapons don't cap at 5 but level fucking 10!. But it didn't take that long to get the rest of the weapons to 5. Also upgrading everything seemed rough but you can farm the thing you need to upgrade. Went from about 15 to 190 last night.
Only other ones that seem like a pain are using the disco ball and sheep guns on every enemy type.
Great game, didn't outstay it's welcome. The Ryno feels like cheat mode though, got through the last 2 bosses without dying.

@Furtive_Pygmy
Just stay airborne as much as possible and if you need to land on a platform to refuel/top up ammo then make sure you take out the mines beforehand.
Or just backtrack and get the RYNO... -

Registered 19 years agoYup, takes no time at all really to get the required cards for the RYNO.

Registered 7 years agoI wouldn't get the ryno. Absolutely breaks the game, including the last boss. -

Registered 10 years agoThis is 19.99 on sale (PSN) just now, I'll be buying it shortly. -
It's also a bit of a pain in the dick if you start the second playthrough without getting the RYNO, as you'll have to wait until the end of the second playthrough before you get your hands on it then. -

Registered 7 years ago@funkstar I wouldn't say so, no. It doesn't just makes it easier, it straight up breaks it. It's alright to use if you're doing the NG+ to just streamroll through it I guess. -

Registered 7 years agoIt does, shows all the cards, raritanium and stuff. Just look online for the card locations then you can work out which ones you've missed. -

Nice one, bought. Need a change of pace from Overwatch. -
It's mighty tempting at that price, but I've got so many games to get through. -

Registered 16 years agoI hadn't played a Ratchet game since 2 (or was it 3?) on the PS2 so it was a real pleasure to come back to this last weekend. It feels like nothing has changed and that's all to the good. I raced through the game over the weekend, picking up all the gold bolts and RYNO cards on my way to the final boss. Just started a second run through now focussing on upgrading the weapons.
A couple of slight niggles are that the flame thrower weapon isn't nearly as much fun as the lava beam one in the PS2 game I played and that awful escape the sewers level. I was hurling the controller at the screen by my 20th try and had to turn the sound right down so I didn't keep hearing the same comments from Clank. Constantly battling the camera was horrible. It was only once I discovered the R1 long jump that things improved and I was able to beat it. It was no fun whatsoever though. -
I love the Ratchet series so much and this was so good that the trophy whore in me will borrow my brothers UK copy next year to get another Platinum on it (I downloaded from the US store and got the plat before it was even released over here!), masterpiece.
