Cure bassist is good. Shame his bass is so heavy though.
Pfft. The strap appears to be at the requisite length for bass playing.

Lower = cooler as everyone knows.
Oh I know that. Cuh. No I meant when he's doing his little lead lines it's practically touching the stage for some reason.

Although it depends on what the weird things are. I'm assuming regular sexual things which is probably fine.

    Maybe.

Being security at their gigs must be a breeze , I can't imagine a goth rushing the stage . It's picked up since it started though .

Yeah itís getting breezier now, itís something that they are broad enough to have lighter catchier stuff then darker emo whiny stuff

I don't suppose there's much chance of them playing Love Cats.

Favourite acts of the weekend then?

Stormzy, Kylie, Kate Tempest, Babymetal, and Miley Cyrus for me.

Although I've not watched the Years & Years set which was meant to be amazing yet

A pity Babymetal had sound issues, one of the bass and the left kick drum weren't mic'ed up at all, and Moa's mic could not get any quieter without vanishing entirely.

Fuckin Hell! David Attenborough has made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury!?!
Back in my day it was the Bishop of Bath&Wells.
Apparently big Dave's got a new TV series coming out.

    .
Do you think he is worried his Flock will ever find out he is a colossal pervert ?

Also Re Miley Cyrus, she is good and has been for years, especially when she goes a little bit Country. She told us more than once, she is a Southern Belle

The crowd seemed more into her playing the Ashley O song than a lot of acts actual material

Glastonbury is absolutely awful for metal though so you have to take whatever you can. The intro bit is really nice and heavy at least... shame it only lasts like a minute or so

The Cure were so boring, didnít bother sticking around to watch them. Gutted we watched the utterly tedious Tale Impala instead of Stormzy

Each to their own, I guess.
I think Tame Impala are great!

Caught up on more of this last night and today since I was working the weekend.

Stomzy= know nothing about him but a muscular set indeed. Deserved it. What an assured performance.

Tame Impala = heard good things. Thought they would be like Beach House. More flaming Lips I guess but stunning. Right time of day, I.e. Night. Will look into their albums now.

Jon Hopkins. I WISH I WAS THERE. Emotive house.. Lush.

Idles: I love them and they were brilliant as I had hoped.

Janelle monae: Loved the last album but it didn't quite pop as much I hoped live. Still, she is a great performer and they are great tunes.

Miley Cyrus. Loved the song she did with Ronson, was impressed with her presence, voice and material both covered and original. Someone here in the Black Mirror thread said she has the voice of a crack whore. She does, with a massive shot of adrenaline and sexy as hell.

Vampire Weekend: disappointing. The really clean, precise sound on the record gets a bit lost here and his voice sounds less like 'him'?

Need to catch up on Christine and the Queens and mop up but all In all, not a bad year. Inspired me to do an all weekender at my local in August /rock and roll.

Early stuff was produced by Dave Friedmann who did flaming lips, Mercury Rev, MGMT and a ton more

Christine and the Queens set was a real spectacle, sheís pretty captivating to watch
