Well that's almost as obvious as how much their budget's been cut by

Its going to be tough but I think the budget cut will force them to find new and really creative opportunities for casual racism.

Surely they're not going to step that far out of their comfort zone?

    Are they still insufferable arseholes?

Isn't it pretty obviously another childish one in the eye for the mean old BBC?

They get the shove from TG and they go and set up GT. The name itself is means nothing other than two fingers up at the imaginary establishment.
Yeah but doesn't mean there wasn't then a reason justified around the title. This is the origin of every shite tv programme with a pun title. Come up with the title first then construct a justification for it.

    I shall demonstrate:

Blessing in Disguise - Mike Blessing is con artist who gets caught by the police. Now he's undercover to infiltrate the very gang he used to work with, and in each episode will use a series of different disguises to achieve his goal. Comedy Drama.

Two to Tango - John and Jane Tango have never met, but a mix up due to them sharing the same surname results in them being forced to live with each other, with hilarious consequences. Sit com.

Penny for Your Thoughts - Game show in which the person with the best idea gets to home with a whore called Penny.

I don't think I got more than half way through the last season and I can't think of any good reason to watch this one, despite having access to it. They stopped being funny a long time ago.

I would absolutely love to see some stats relating to streaming. It'll never happen but I bet the drop-off after the first couple of episodes was unbelievable. I'm actually somewhat surprised they're getting a second season.

Concepts forced around a pun title are a pet peeve. I can only imagine the 'it sounds like xbox' production meetings needed to get sexbox off the ground.

Pretty much everyone I know who started watching it didn't finish it.

I only watched the last episode of the series quite recently and that was only because I was bored.

Apparently Amazon enquiried with BARB (the people who produce UK TV viewing stats) about measuring the audience for The Grand Tour.

BARB has the technology and already produces stats for other online viewing platforms, the Amazon discussions came to nothing.

Make your own mind up as to why.

I don't understand why it wouldn't be built into the platform to give you detailed data on now only who watched it, but when, what device, how many sessions, when they gave up, how loudly they tutted at the cunt presenters etc etc

Amazon will have that data for themselves. To become official viewing statistics all they need to do is broadcast BARB’s meta data tag. They evidently chose not to.

They absolutely have the ability to pull out that kind of info. Amazon is as data driven as facebook, so to think they couldnt pull out viewing stats is ludicrous.

Presumably, in the end they couldnt be arsed or figured that if netflix held their cards close to their chest, they may as well.

BARB research would presumably be more detailed as they issue everyone in a representative number of households with a handset. The people have to say whenever they're watching something. Amazon would know something had been watched but whether that was just the Prime subscriber, someone in the house or the whole family would be an unknown I'd imagine.

Yep, BARB would have the figures on who is actually watching and for how long.

Speaking of which, Amazon should really get their act together and create profiles like Netflix

I've watched the first two episodes of the new series and Clarkson and May suddenly look a lot unhealthier than even last series. There was a car interior shot where Clarkson looked very pasty and his eye whites looked yellow and watery. James May seems to be a constant shade of red this series. Hammond seems to be the only one that looks after himself!
