Heh. Not been much chat this season. Itís been ok: I canít remember anything that has stood outÖ The Chiron feature was quite neat, particularly the Rendevous homage in Turin.

I liked the car-park racing, even if it obviously wasn't all it seemed.

I've watched the first two episodes. Gone too far into the bullshit acting out scenarios. Can't say I care too much about watching any more.

I've watched the first two (I think, I watched the second, it's that unmemorable that I'm not sure) and it's just stupidly over scripted and yep, a couple of them look very unwell this series.

Better than last season, but that's not saying much.

Clarkson's "pneumonia" and Hammond's "broken leg".

Mmm...massively passively aggressive episode that completely misses the point. Pile of cunts.

I hope it burns then badly.

They very much seem to have failed to see the difference between 'planning' and 'blowing up a caravan and Richard Hammond doing a face'

That latest episode was painful to watch. It had no point whatsoever.

Are they doing another top gear series? The last one was leagues ahead of this crap.

Yes, I think it airs in spring. To tide us over, the TG YouTube channel is regularly pumping out some brilliant Chris Harris drives videos.

Itís a combination of habit and being unable to look away from a slow motion car crash (literally this series).

Like this weeks segment of them railing against people moaning about how wooden and staged it is by producing a wooden and staged segment about how boring it would be if it wasnít wooden and staged. Itís just terrible and hard to look away from.

Itís also easier to watch now the episodes are now 30 minutes long (I assume thatís why they made the weekly celebrity racing thing 12 minutes long)

The McLaren segment was good. It needs alot more of this. Not just one segment on an amazing car then 45mins of conversation street.

Nope. I've cut much better shows than this for far less... and those had ongoing stories I was interested in.

Just watched (well still half watching sadly) the "unscripted" episode. As said above, I'm pretty sure people are happy for things to be planned, but are sick of the "pretend disasters" and similar crap. Their "unscripted" shite was still contrived and scripted to try and make their point. I mean, why the made up James May fire engine challenge? Why the need for a hot local rather than the camera crew? Why did his sat nav not point out he was driving to a dead end (which of course it did as it was scripted)? Why didn't they talk to each other about what to take? Why not drive the cars and then then film the piece where they come up with the descriptions? Why was the camera crew in the bbq garden? How did James know where they were with his chart etc bloody etc.

They basically can't even do an unscripted episode without obvious scripting (James has just rung them the very moment they finished their challenge and they've turned up just as...)

Bollocks and I doubt I'll be watching anymore as I don't want to encourage them more. Wankers.

Every time Amazon fuck up one of my deliveries (which is to say, most of them), I think to myself "thank god they're wanking away my Prime subscription money over this shite rather than investing in a decent delivery infrastructure".

Nah I stopped watching a while ago. They took all the worst bits from their top gear and spent a lot more money on them, somehow making it all really shit.

I still like it. It seems you can either get past the fact or scripted or you canít, but it seems like a redundant thing to point out if you ask me.

It's not the straight up fact it's scripted. It's when you know these are acted out characters, and there's no character development at all across god knows how many series, it's natural to get a little bored and testy at some of their more extreme opinions or actions.

They should just follow other more successful long term series, and regenerate May into a teenager, Hamster into a woman and Clarkson into a corbynista with a shitty beard.

Glol, really? I binned Prime last year after numerous un-prime deliveries and couldnít believe how much they were charging now for regular Amazon shoppers. I can always find the same thing on eBay with free delivery anyway.

Always surprised to hear you lot talk about amazon in the UK. Apart from the fact that amazon is obviously an evil monster of a company who treats everyone *except* the customer like shit, the customer service in Germany is second to none. And since that is pretty much the company's motto, I am amazed it doesn't seem to work that well in the UK.

It's the reason for their success. You get spoilt excessively by amazon here, to the point where every alternative looks inferior.
