I mean the Xbox 360/PC game people hated on for no reason. Still the best MP game I've played to date, don't judge me ![]() Is there any similar game nowadays I should be aware of? The kind that truly rewards team work over individual skills? I tried Battleborn this weekend but wasn't hooked, not sure where else to look. |
What would be a current or upcoming Shadowrun-like game?

Registered 6 years agoI never played very much Shadowrun so I'm probably stabbing in the dark, but something like Overwatch might be up your street. Different to Battleborn in several ways, as I understand it.
As for teamwork, Halo absolutely rewards that, but chances are you've tried that somewhere along the line already

Registered 16 years agoI was too deep into Destiny and kind of missed the Halo 5 MP train to be honest. Also Reach was so great that playing the 2 games that followed left me a bit cold. -

Registered 6 years agoThe H5 train is still going, might be worth a look. But it's still Halo, and not so much Reach Halo.

Registered 11 years agoDefinitely give OVerwatch a try, I loved Shadowrun and am really enjoying the Overwatch beta.
Other than that it's pretty tricky, Shadowrun's movement and objective gameplay is like nothing else I've played. -

Couldn't agree more. I've recently watched some Shadowrun gameplay and it really had a lot of depth with every class being viable which is not often the case in this type of games.

Looks like Overwatch might be what I should be looking into then, too bad the console beta releases fairly late. -

Registered 6 years agoOW isn't class-based, rather hero-based, but being Blizz it'll probably be nicely balanced. -

Registered 16 years agoProbably heroes that work like classes, same way in Shadowrun they had races that really acted like classes in practice. -

I actually agree with this. Shadowrun was superb and had a really great community in the main. There were very tactical decisions in team composition and the characters all played very differently. I have many fond memories... Fuck katana elves though seriously...
