Besides, it was the MP that blew up the modern shooter, not the content that's actually getting remastered. So you're right, why not do it? But they kind of aren't. -

Registered 17 years agoWe don't know they aren't, I just doubt it as I have a feeling that it could fracture their MP space. They may do it though, as people have been calling for it for some time. -

Registered 7 years agoI loved modern warfare.
The level design was really clever - for the time anyway.
You really got the feeling you were part of a special ops group. Raiding ships. Moving through fields avoiding spotlights at night. Sniper teams. Racing through underground stations etc etc.
I think the problem with the advanced warfare stuff is it just feels to detached. There's none of the tension, none of the level design. it feels like they gave up putting effort into gameplay and decided to put it into stupid stuff like wall running and jetpacs instead. You actually need less imagination to go into the future, because you can come up with new ideas that simply aren't feasible today, but you can explain them away because "its the future".
I want to feel the modern warfare experience again. Raiding castles. Breaking in steathly to get information, crawling as a sniper to get in position. Moving through the rain and darkness. That sort of shit.
I could come up with a ton of special ops missions that they could do. So why don't they get their act together and do it instead of giving us "lasers". -

Registered 15 years agoBit of a joke that they can't remaster all the maps, really hope they don't try and DLC the other 10. It is only this remaster that'll get me buying COD this year so far. -

Registered 9 years agoAs long as all maps are available at some point im happy. I just hope they dont mess this up. It'll be by far my favourite game on these consoles.
I do keep thinking this is too good to be true though something will happy to ruin this just like MCC *purposely getting hopes down* -

Say what you will about Ghosts but the general gameplay was better than Advanced warfare and Blops3. -

Registered 11 years agoThis might sound stupid, but I was hoping for Space Call of Duty, not Call of Duty in Space. As in, I wanted full sci-fi with lasers and whatnot but with the gameplay of Call of Duty not them just taking Call of Duty into some space environments. Still looks fun enough though!
Glad to see the Modern Warfare Remaster confirmed, I think I'll have to get it because of that. -

Registered 8 years ago@MatMan562 That's what I was hoping for as well. How do bullets work in a vacuum? I thought this was going to be a COD version of Halo with lasers and weird aliens enemies.
This looks like an incremental step from advanced warfare, but with occasional trips to space and cut-sceney, scripted zero-g segments.
You would have thought copying the concepts of Halo or Destiny would be easy, peasy for the COD boys? Apparently not it seems. -
