@ChiefGB Have you beaten Big Balls yet, Chief? I've just managed it now. Took me 56 attempts. I'm not very good at this.
No mate and probably had a similar amount of attempts.
You'll get it. I had such trouble with his spinning ball attack. I did what Decks suggested and dropped my armour weight so I could move in and out quickly. The downside of that is a block will most likely leave you staggered. That ended up killing me a number of times.

Yes the blocks I tried last night almost always left me gassed

Yeah beating Big Balls is a watershed moment. At least until you get to flying whore.
I actually beat her in a few attempts. As per souls games I seem to be better at bosses of a similar size and struggle on big fuckers. No idea why..

Itís also avoiding his balls when he starts throwing them and trying to clear his pools. I know you can pull him away from them but heís so big he often ends up back over them. Iíll try again later.

Just don't get greedy with your shots. When he's bazzing his balls around I locked on and kept rolling to the side......I think.... It's been a while.

I wouldn't necessarily go balls out for agility bonus. Yellow is fine. Green leaves you too squishy at this stage and everything one shots you.

Also, try going low stance. It will take longer to kill but the dodge is better. It has more iframes and takes less KI, so you can gtfo more easily and more often. Mid stance next and high drains loads of ki and hardly any iframes.

The dream is dodge in low stance and switch to high while mid dodge, then switch back to surge away.

That's a level of skill I never achieved, or even close to.

All the talk of the game is making me hyped for the sequel though, I just hope it doesn't tail off in quality at the end.

When is the sequel due out?

No date yet. The from one will provide me with samurai murder until then though.

Don't listen to Nick, agility is king. My guy wears nothing but my underpants and a raiden hat.

And I'm not expecting the sequel until PS5. The From one and Tiramisu both look great though.

What technique did you use? I love this game, but I am well and truly stuck on that bastard. The bit when he swings his balls around, I can't read when it's going to happen. I feel close to giving up, and that would be a shame as it's so good.

It's weird how easy I'm finding it on second play through because I know how to play it. Occasional boss is causing me the odd bit of trouble but the I'm just breezing through the normal enemies. Gonna be difficult for them to get the difficulty right in the sequel for people that played the original without just throwing loads of shit at you like the later levels.

Backing off and being patient is the key to all of it. Let him do his thing, move in and get a few hits in. Just take your time and don't get greedy.

I feel like a complete badass now against the regular enemies. I keep waiting for it to click against the big balled fucker, but I feel no closer than when I started. I'm sure most of my 11 hours playtime must be on him.

Cheers, getting excited and flustered is one of my main downfalls in these type of games.

Yeah I just slowed it all down went high axe opening a track which stuns him and buys you a few moments to set up. Then swap low katana keep getting near him, when he goes to make a move dodge to his side behind him, hit him with triangle twice and square once then back off and kind of repeat being prepared to block as you hop out. If you keep distance when he grabs his balls then you have better chance of dodging them. Clear the yokai pools or whatever they are called where possible otherwise youíll loose your ki too and will gas too quickly making you a sitting duck. Patience is definitely the key.

Yeah, exactly. I spent way too long trying to Bloodborne it, trying to dash through his attacks and being very aggressive. Once I realised I didn't have to spend the whole fight right up him, it got considerably easier.

Have they added some new enemy types into the base game? I don't remember these annoying lightning fox things.
