Same. I think I only died two or three times to him, I thought he was actually pretty easy but that could be because RNGsus kept making him do his burst counter moves which you can see coming a mile away. |

Registered 5 years agoThe burst counter is way easy to stick when you've got a brute spirit eh. -

Registered 15 years agoOr summon a rando. The blue spirits are fucking useless for anything else other than drawing aggro. You can probably get like 1/5th life off the snake before it dies, which is better than nothing. -

Registered 18 years agoI just wanted to say, if push comes to shove, then summon for it. I feel as if the Snake lvl or well the biss itself comes a few missions too early. Most players haven't really found themselves yet to really be master of their build.
I put a player help on the floor before that boss room, and it got used 63 times in a few hours, where as other spots I put it, I get almost never summoned.
So yeah, summon a bit and from area two on, you will feel much stronger with your build cause you will have more skillpoints unlocked and better gear etc. -

Registered 5 years agoTook me about 90 minutes of trying last night. I ended up just waiting for him to punch the ground, avoid the snakes then attack his arms and head a few times.
Once he loses one arm he'll slither towards you (he'll do the same in the ether realm thing as well) just keep circling right at a distance and it's pretty easy to time a high stance shot when he slithers towards you. If you only do it when his head is yellow he generally won't catch you with a follow up shot. Just keep moving and chip away at him. Repeat the, steps until the cunt is dead. Takes ages though. -

Registered 15 years agoIts still the worst boss so far. Its health pool is far, far too big. -

Registered 18 years agoIf you move forward in the game, you will up your distance fighting massively. I now pick off weak enemies with my bow, rifle and magic tricks with often one shot. I can play the game way more relaxed now, and only need my melee skills for the bigger monsters. It helps my concentration in game a lot, than if I have to get close to everything to do decent damage and by accident get surrounded by enemies -

Registered 14 years agoThat boss shouldn't be so early. Especially considering how easy some of the later ones are. -

Registered 18 years agoby the way, my two cents advices are not for the pro players in this thread, I am writing for the medicore skilled players, since I represent these well. I love these type of games, but when I watch YouTube videos, it shows I'm a veteran noob. I mean "all bosses, zero damage" wow, just wow. -
My snake tactic was to stay at a distance and when he starts his tentacle through the floor thing then run in and do damage. Just keep a distance and dodge his other stuff and wait for that. It also helps to use a side swinging move or weapon to ensure you kill the arms before the shift brings them to life. Otherwise it is the same as how I defeated a bunch of opponents in Sekiro, run around all the ranged shit and get in a few swipes and out again. -

Registered 16 years agoAs others have said, when he pushes his arms into the ground, run in a few hits to the arms but alternate the damage, but don't head in too fast....wait half a beat so they don't spawn near him and attack you.
It's a war of atrition but the only move that can fuck you up is his burst counterable one, most of the time when he comes straight at you in the dark realm you can hit him on the nose with a high stance stong attack and it'll send him off.
Summoning a player is not a cop out, it's the most fun way to play running around with another ninja smashing shit out of everything. -
Oh and the use of sacred water while in the yokai realm helps assuage some of the stamina hit. -

Registered 12 years agoThe snake I found to be an absolute nightmare, as everyone else has suggested, just take your time and slowly chip away at his health. The hard part comes from not screwing up and getting impatient. Far too many of my deaths have come from that "one more hit" syndrome. -
Horse fucker down. Not too bad of an opening level. I find the burst counter timing a bit off at times but maybe that's just me. -

Registered 14 years ago@AddyB_ Depends on your guardian spirit. Brute is definitely the easiest to time, but I love the quick dodge on feral. I end up using it a LOT. -
