I'm welling up here. It's so romantic.

33, not married, doubt I will. Haven't met anybody I'd want a relationship with for quite a long time and can't really be bothered looking anymore. -

Go on, give it a try and thank me later. -

At least you know where you are with a Labrador. Loyal, friendly, eager to please and extremely cute.
A goat is a good thing to get married to. Or a dog. Something like a labrador. -

Registered 19 years agoI got married at 28 and she was almost 21. As of 2 years ago I got divorced when she turned into a cheating cow. Fun times also!
Did I feel pressured? Not at all.
Do I regret it? Hard to say. If an ex turns on you, do you regret the many good years you had with them because of how they turned out? I don't believe I do, in fact I'm a better person now because of it and turned things around for the better.

I can't remember. between 2-4 years ago maybe.
It must have been 2 years ago as i only have memory of her complaining that i didn't get her an anniversary gift twice. So i was 29.

Registered 14 years agoMarried at 30, not quite a year ago yet. Was a great day but not a huge amount changes, it's just nice to get everyone you care about together and officially state your love for one another and then have a massive party to top it off.
I was the first of my mates to get engaged at 28. Many have since fallen. -

We got married in the Amazon jungle. My wife and I had first met just a couple of months before. We were travelling round Peru together and she woke me up one morning with a kiss and asked "shall we get married today?".
We are still together now with two kids, two rabbits and a doggo.
EDIT: maths fix

Registered 16 years ago@LFace Totally agree. My mates don't understand why I'm not furious with her (last year's break up was insanely out of the blue, for me anyway). But what's the point in going through life filled with resentment towards someone, it doesn't achieve anything. We had some friggin great times over the years, so I choose to remember those parts.
Annnyway, I won't derail this cheerful thread any longer.
Congratulations to those who are soon to be married, and well done to the ones still living in a happy marriage!

Registered 19 years ago@captainrentboy I despise her don't get me wrong haha. Hard not to when someone you've done so much for over the years and loved and cherished decides to throw it all away by seeing someone behind your back. But that's in the past and there have been a few ladies since then that have caught my eye and I'm currently in the best shape I've been in for as long as I can remember so I took it as a learning curve and have improved my life because of it.
Enough ranting, to all those getting married soon or thinking about it, all the best to you chaps and chapesses! May your wedding be joyful and not of the Red kind. -
Reading this thread is enlightening. I'm 30 and my missus of 2 years is nowhere near ready to get married. Maybe in 5 years. Maybe never.
Late 20s/early 30s seems to be the norm. I feel behind the curve then. -

29, was a daddy almost exactly 9 months later 😉
Still one of the best days of my life, didn't feel pressured as we had been together over 7 years at the time, now 7 years have past since the wedding and stopped at 2 kids. Next a dog please 😁
