Figured this would need its own thread for the dedicated MP players!

I've put 3 or 4 hours into the MP and I think it's excellent, really fantastic. I think the mystical elements add a curveball to the solid gunplay. The map design is great and the performance is rock solid : I haven't experienced any lag or disconnects at all.

The 60fps is lovely too!

Anyone else enjoying the MP???

I love the mp.
Playing mainly Command and a bit of Ranked tdm.I am mainly shite but I enjoy it and will be playing daily.

Yeah it's very good. Mixed much of TLOU multi with dafter mystical stuff. Lots of scope for various builds too. The hunter might be my fave power. Charging round after the crazy fool is awesome.

Gt is ToonMonkey if anyone wants to group up.

Oof. Just played some MP and there's either shenanigans or server issues as brand new TDM game started and within 10 seconds the opposition had 8 kills and then went on to dominate and get done in no time at all.

Kinda reminds me why I don't really go online with my games.

So after 5 ranked games of TDM my opening rank is...
Bronze III
Which I assume is the lowest entry. I am so poor at tdm, well any mp actually, it is so frustrating as I want to enjoy online aspects of my games but just can't "get" them.
My K/D is always laughable, which I do not care that much about but I would like to feel I'm pulling my weight at least.

Nearly every game ends up in total frustration for me, the stupid thing is I know I should not be playing them but can't help myself.

Very different.

I've played a few games now (got all the required Trophies) and I quite like it, there's definitely something solid about it. I normally come top 2 on my team.

I'll give it a go. I've never really given a third person game a decent run. For multiplayer, I normally just have Fifa, COD and Battlefield in the background throughout the year. It's been like that for ten years which is scary.

TDM is fairly gash but Command is great.

Command is control with a twist. Each team gets a captain who is randomly selected, permenantly highlighted and who offers a variety of escalating buffs to their team. They level up the longer the stay alive but are conversely worth more points to the opposing team when killed at a higher level. Can really swing the game.

Really fun. Not really worth going with the Shotgun if you can't one shot them when you do manage to work your way close, and they just need to melee you, which did seem like one shot resulted in downing you. Soon as I switched to ak I got more success.

@DUFFMAN5 don't play it like gears and you'll be fine. First of all you can't lancer chainsaw a player to death and the shotgun reload buff doesn't work. Cover isn't as important as fast movement. Oh and spend your money you earn! There isn't a giant robot thing to save up for. X

Been playing this a lot and it really shows that my old man reaction times plus medication is taking its toll on my scores.

This sounds like me, I enjoy the chase but hate the frustration. There's always the next game though,right???????!!

You guys should stick to the ranked playlist. I know it's promoted as a competitive hardcore thing, but if you are ranked at bronze 3 you are going to be matched with those from bronze 3, 2, and 1 so its a chance to play with people on roughly the same level and get better at your own pace.

I'm finding ranked games less difficult than the regular playlists and I'm in gold 2 (honestly I wasn't just trying to boast!), so I'd imagine further down the ranks the multiplayer will be much friendlier than unranked for those that are trying to get better but just getting battered by full teams.

Yeah 'ranked' tends to frighten people but it works both ways I guess.

Does anyone else find matchmaking a bit of a slog? ive spent a good minute to 2 waiting to find players on tdm and control. Even ranked is as bad.

It seems a bit random. Sometimes it's quick, but other times you have to back out and search again cos it gets stuck in a loop.

I worry people will drop the game because there isn't a traditional leveling system. I quite like doing the things to unlock new stuff, but I know people love their numbers and little rank emblems.

It seems a bit slow to find ranked games but it's pretty much instant for the others for me

Really surprised at how much I've enjoyed the mp on this, just done my first 5 games, command is my favourite so far. Definitely helps sticking together and moving as a group. Didn't realise this had 'powers' and such in it, makes it interesting! Will be putting some time I to this I reckon!

The MP is fantastic, it kind of frustrates me that Naughty Dogs multiplayer is always ignored. The last of us also had superb MP (which no-one played).

Yea the mp is amazing it feels like a lost arcade game. Love the one liners especially Lazarevic.

Is anyone else experiencing a problem like this in the multiplayer? Everything was running smoothly until around Wednesday - now this is what happens in all my games.

I assume it can't be my connection. I have a good BT Infinity connection (tested wired connection at 45.9 down / 6.5 up / Nat 2 on PS4) and it clearly displays having a full bar connection. Other games seem to run fine too, inc The Last of Us.

Any ideas? :-/

Oh, the M14 Custom was NOT worth the grind...

HS39 that came before it is ace, though. Definitely a potent tool, I think I'll stick with it.
