That blue moon track was good for racing on. Had some good battles. Becco is doing the same to me today. I'm giving up. 😙

@jimmac Cheers, got into a groove and figured out where I was losing a lot of time :D

But the same thing just happened again - on pole and then everyone got booted from the server again  I'm close to giving up on GT Sport, very close...

Anyone else think that these short sprint races with no tire wear or fuel use are a massive waste of time? What's the point in them? Unless you fluke yourself onto pole you're never going to do anything in that measely amount of laps.

With the new SR system, these races are null and void, unless you qualify on pole.. At least with tyre wear races, if you start middle of the pack then with fuel and tyre strategy, and of course consistent laps you've got a better chance of making up some places - oh that is if no one ruins your race

    Indeed so matey.

And maybe it's just me but they seem to have made it alot more difficult to shed time penalties too. A lift here and there going in and out of corners and you'd be fine before but now it seems that timer will not budge unless you lift on completely on a straight and so lose a huge amount of time. Which frankly is BS.

Weird, Iím having the opposite experience since the patch. My SR has lept up (admittedly from a lowly 20 to 50) as Iím getting way less SR punishments for the odd bit of contact. Itís been much more lienient since the patch for me but cutting corners seems to be more punishing.

The driving was brilliant tonight on the GR4 race. Itís a bit of an average track but itís wide and everyone seemed to be well behaved, I had some great battles. My DR is now up to B, maybe thatís improved the opponents.

Well amazon sold out of the t300 GT so now they are back to silly prices everywhere. I snoozed and I losed.

Which brings me back to the G29 as I know some of you have them. The last wheel I owned was a DFGT, the pedals were horrendous but the wheel seemed fine if my memory serves me correctly!

So how is the G29 and pedals? Does the dead zone bother you? Brake pedal feel ok? Happy with the force feedback?

Apologies for the back and forwards, Argos has them locally for £199 :)

The DFGT was great but like you say the pedals could have been better.

The G29 is essentially the same but the pedals have a lot more weight to them and the break has a rubber block or something under it. Took me a while to adjust to that but it's fine now.

The only thing I adjusted was the metal plate on one of the pedals to give a little more room between either the clutch or accelerator.

Iíve just spent quite a long time doing a livery but there are server problems so it wonít upload. Does that mean Iíll lose it if I quit?

In the end I got the G29 with shifter for 199 from currys.

Have tried it with GT Sport (awesome but I need a stand/seat) and also with Raceroom Experience on the PC (which is awesome anyway but even better with the wheel).

The pedals are a HUGE uograde from the old DFGT, they have weight and the brake is so much better.

I expect the T300 is better but I just couldnt get it a decent price so I will just have to be happy with what I have.

Those GT Omega stands look really good.

The pedals on your G29 are probably better. T300 pedals are disappointing to be honest. I thought they were worse than my old G25 pedals. I would like to upgrade them but am too mean to spend the money.

Interesting! Seems like the G29 is the value option but if you are prepared to spend then the T300 will take you where you need to go.

@Decks Also, AC is hard, the 2nd race in career took me 3 goes before I could win it but the AI is fantastic compared to GT Sport!

Iím late to the party, but I had no idea how much faster that 919 is compared to anything else in gr1. Mental acceleration.

@CaptainToad search out the SimRacingSystem mod for AC, itís a similar concept to GT Sport with a rating system. AC has some fantastic mod tracks e.g. Bridgehampton, Donnington and Blackwood which the console version doesnít. Iíve not played AC for months as my Graphics card went pop (GTS came along at just the right time) and the prices are crazy but I need to get one before the summer when AC Competizione (Blancpain GT) is being released.

Yeah it's exactly the same. Ran like shit when they first released it but a few patches have it running smoothly now.

It's only faster on windy courses, the top speed is low compared to a lot of other cars.

I went 8/10 faster on Monza than the Audi within 2 laps, and that was after about 45mins with the Audi. Unless the Audi is slow?

If you look at the top 10 rankings on the dailies the 919 is never there on the faster courses.
