Just bought it today for a tenner so don't know. I'll probably play offline for a couple of weeks. Clean racing online looks fucking solid tbh, I'll give it a go though.

I need to get back on it, played it every night for the best part of a month and then stopped just as I was starting to win a few races.

Actually thinking back, it was a complete lack of Championship races (at the times I was online) and a run of really shit races to choose from that meant I turned it on one night and immediately turned if off again.

Have they changed the online mode or does it still work the same way?

This games a bit good. So much better than Drive club. I can see me playing it for a fair few months - the online is just how I imagine it could be from the random starting grid, bumper smashing PGR 3 online days. I love the daily races with qualifying stuff.

I bought it in the sale for £10.99. Not played it yet as I'm fully addicted to Monster Hunter but I noticed it just did a massive update. Looking forward to starting this but haven't played a driving game since Drive club. Before that, it was GT6 so I'll probably need a bit of practice.

@Fonzie I've messed about before but had a few proper hours on it there (it magically went back to v.1.23 and the subsequent update was about 200mb - weird). It's a bit good.

Just doing the early bits of the campaign and it handles like a dream. So satisfying to play. And it looks pretty lush too.

It was a bit borked at launch, but credit is due.
Well for the price, I'm sure I'll get my monies worth out of it. As long as the online racing is better than I remember it being with the Xbox 360 versions of Forza, then I'll be happy. Seem to remember just getting smashed into at every turn.

Don't discount the single player mode by the way, it's possibly now got more SP content than the older games. I don't even have PS+ and I've got my moneys worth out of the game.

That's good to hear. I was worried that there would be little single player content.

So I finished driving school, which was not that exciting, and i think knew it all from Top gear anyway. I'm onto missions which are much more fun, unlearning all the good habits by smashing into cars and drifting round corners. There's definately enough single player content, which I'm enjoying more than online atm.

I really like the handling. It errs on the arcadey side for a simulator I think - I can manage all the cars so far quite well with traction control off - but that's cool. They could do with adding more tracks to retain more players. But maybe this is just a prototype for the next big GT?

The Circuit Experiences are good fun, videos give some good tips too, when to turn in, be on full throttle etc. Nordschleife one is excellent and tough.

Ugh, is granturismo supposed to be dropping anything new anytime soon? I've always loved their games, as the graphics are amazing and the control of the cars are impeccable. I still remember the first time I played gt, it was when I first bought my playstation one.

Interlagos 6 lap sprint was a bitch - they put you against faster cars. I had to ram one car to get gold.

Ive just got to get gold on the final lap attack. I remember quite a lot of it from previous games, but I forgot how nuts it is. No wonder so many people have died on it, it keeps tempting you to go too fast.

Anyone still playing this regularly? I picked it up over Christmas as I got a DriveHub so I can use my wheel on it. Really good stuff, between the campaign, the driving school and missions etc, and the online racing, it's got a nice variety. Also a fun break from the more serious stuff like Assetto Corsa and Project Cars 2.

Racing online on the Bathurst track can bloody do one though.

@retrological cool, added you. I'm super average too so I wouldn't worry :D I'm still enjoying it, keep logging on every day for my daily free car. I'm not a big fan of the rally stuff though, glad you don't have to do it very often.

Got my highest online finish of fourth yesterday, tense stuff!

How good is this in 2 player split screen? Is it just local taxes or can you play campaign together? We have the pro so hoping split screen is at a semi decent frame rate?

It's only 14 quid on PSN so very tempted - is it worth paying 22 for the digital deluxe edition?

Anyone tried that new campaign even on the new Special Stage X? How are you meant to win that? You're limited to vision cars which are all roughly the same and you have to make up 10 or so places on a track which is 99% straight line.

Use the Mercedes AMG VGT car. Need a car with a long final gear.

Ta, will give it a try.

It's weird that as a single player only gamer, GT Sport has kept me interested for way longer than any other GT game with its steady stream of new offline content. Amazing for a game that launched with no single player at all.

I usually play the career mode for a few weeks until I hit a brick wall and can't do any more (usually when the F1 cars get involved). This, I've been at it on and off for months

I haven't touched the single player stuff for a couple of weeks - too hooked by the online. Although the races this week are bad - shit cars round that stupid highway track, or the Nordschleife, or 9 laps of Bathurst at night. Either of the last two will tank my DR so I don't really want to touch them.
