Anyone know if the protagonists will have more... depth in this sequel? One of the big issues I had with Dishonored was that I really didn't care for/have any attachment to Corvo. |

Registered 10 years agoThe toppling of the regimes was what interested me in the first one and how everyone had motives to their actions/responses. I hope they can keep the new one strong in its story. Although ultimately the gameplay is king I guess. -

Ended up with a PS4 copy because Amazon are doing that as the Pro bundle deal (ye, for £18 I'll play that on PS4 rather than playing on PC with a mouse).
Still don't quite understand the release date. It's released on the 11th but pre-orders get it a day early so... everyone who buys it gets it on the 10th. Surely that means it is coming out on the 10th, right? Same day as the Pro releases (which is smart - that id Tech looks good and the way all the geometry moves around is really making good use of fully-dynamic lighting to make stuff that animates in a way you couldn't see a generation ago). -

@H1ggyLTD if what you ordered says limited edition, then yeah.
It's basically standard around 40, and limited at like 50.
Where did you order from and how much? Cheapest I found was £36.86 shopto.net
They have the limited at 46-ish

@H1ggyLTD nvm what I said earlier, it seems shopto.net are also doing the first game for free included even if not limited edition version.
I've ordered the standard one so hopefully, they will enclose the first game too. I have it already so could sell it to cex/game for some cash - so it would work out to be around the £30 mark I pay overall..

I've emailed em to clarify if dishonoured 1 included in standard edition of dishonoured 2. I can see them getting out of it.

^^^ that doesn't identify that it's for the limited edition only. It reads clearly that if you pre-order dishonored 2, you'll also get the first game. I don't accept your response, I want to escalate this further. I'm gonna be mentioning this on twitter and forums as that also seems to be a medium that retailers always take more notice.
If you believe the wording above only indicates it's for the limited edition, can you copy and paste the words from that where one is supposed to infer such a thing?

Registered 16 years agoUnless you have the head width of a particularly thin headed newborn baby, you aren't going to be wearing that mask.
Had a gander at one today, you'd have to break bits off, make breathing holes and give it a good ole stretching (somehow without snapping it) before it would go on anyone's noggin. -
Have we had any word on what the pro improvements are with this? I can't find anything so will assume its resolution. -

Registered 20 years agoNo word but this is derived from id tech 5/6 so expect stuff like dynamic resolution and hopefully some rather impressive performance even on the base PS4 so I'd hope the Pro version is just everything turned to 11.
As Bethesda aren't giving out copies to press before tomorrow then we'll find out the same time as everyone else (assuming Amazon actually ships out my copy tonight as scheduled). -

Registered 9 years agoWatched a bit of gameplay on YouTube, not too bad seems a good story but the AI looks a bit naff. Could be as it's the prologue bit but stealth kill a guy right in front of another and he stands there oblivious. -
Installed and ready to go on my PC.
Had to go to work straight after.
