Inside is Playdead's followup to Limbo, out on Xbox One on 29th June and PC on 7th July. They're not giving away much of what of it's about, beyond a boy getting involved in some kind of experiments being performed on humans.

    Been looking forward to this.

This sounds good. Is it a full (console) exclusive or just timed, do we know?

It's coming to Steam 7th July.

What with this and We Happy Few coming end of July indie gamers are in for a rosy few weeks.

Don't think so. Playdead have said they're interested in other console releases.

This is really really good. Its very much like limbo but a bit smarter with puzzles. Nothing quite as good as the spider yet though but overall a much better experience.

Played an hour so far. So atmospheric and cinematic but dripping with oppression and Orwellian themes. Loving it. If you liked Limbo, which let's face it, you're a mong if you didn't, you will adore this.

Only eight posts! I'm about half way through and have been surprised that it's actually lived up to the hype. It's actually kept me playing too, which has recently taken a back step to collecting games and playing them for an hour each. Art direction is incredible.

Will snap up sometime soon I'm sure... Limbo was delightful.

The game is kind of amazing. Not quite sure what I just played or how to articulate it but it should be experienced and it can be appreciated just from a art/technical standpoint

All done and it was bloody brilliant. No idea what the fuck happened but it was great fun being part of it. The sound is so good in this game as there is so much silence that its impact is huge when it happens.

Looking forward to someone explaining it all to me in The future ;)

I'm stuck on the bit where that little underwater bitch keeps caving my submarine in. It's making me feel stupid.

I was stuck on that for about 15 minutes, then I accidentally hit something that made something else happen!!

Cheers. I don't think I can consider that cheating.

@David_Richardson I couldn't add spoiler-tag's on my phone for some reason, so I tried to be vague, but informative!

Just finished in 1 sitting, I felt that the effort and live that's obviously gone into the game deserved seeing the story as one whole.

As already said, if you liked Limbo then you really need to play this. I wish there were more experiences like this, a few hours of great content and left thinking 'I wonder what others make of it?'

There is definitely something of Akira vibe to it which is no bad thing. I think I may have to play through again, and I'm not really an achievement whore, but think I only found three of the secret areas The one with the dogs and the flame stick was pretty cool.

    How long is this?

4/5 hours I reckon. My completion time was 3 hours 9 minutes but I died 89 times. Easy 1000 achievements points too as going back to find the secrets is easy enough. I found 3 naturally.

I found the majority of the secrets and the room at the end which they all lead to... But clearly no use unless I have them all.

That ending though. Fucking WEIRD. Great game.

Seen the secret ending now which makes the story even more wtf.

Every single facet of this game on a technical level was sheer perfection. And it was made in Unity which apparently runs like shit on consoles. Ermm. No it doesn't.
  • Deleted user 2 July 2016 18:34:13
Unity is a fine engine. We just see a lot of wannabe devs trying to use it with poor results.
