Really enjoyed 7 although the 2nd play through was not as good as 1st playthrough.

They better not fuck up the RE2 remake, just don't make into some herp derp shooter like those Operation Racoon City games and RE6.
Now if only they'd add in PSVR support for RE2..

Just completed this. What a return to form for the series. Obviously it's a different approach to what made 1 and 2 so great. And of course 4 being brilliantly different also. But loved every minute. I don't replay many games nowadays but can definitely see myself returning to this. Will probably give it another playthrough on a harder setting after Decembers DLC drops

Playing this on Madhouse difficulty. The first "boss" Mia in attic is rock hard

Did it eventually with 22 consecutive headshots, did not need to use the axe at all

This is my 4th run through already which is the sign of a very good game

She is tough. I think you can block or something, there's definitely a gimmick that makes it much easier but it's been a while.

Fantastic game. Going to pick it up on disc when the gold edition drops in price. Never played the last batch of DLC.

    Speaking of the final boss

Does everyone else agree that it should have ended in the attic and not with the giant cartoon tentacle monster outside?

@Jyzzy-Z yeah you can do a block with L1 but itís hardly worth it as she changes her swipes to get you

The doors are key. She carves them up with her chainsaw and as they fall you can get a free headshot or two in

Done mutant Jack earlier so flying through, Madhouse is proving easier than Normal for me!

That whole Mia sequence was outstanding. I had to plug her full of bullets though, she was relentless. What a way to open the game. Left it just after the dinner scene when they all bugger off and leave me to escape. Turned a corner and saw daddy down the corridor in the distance. Legged it to the garage but it's blocked. Panicked and switched it off for the night last night. Ooh it's good stuff.

The start is brilliant, I played the beginning hour demo about a week before I got the full game and it completely caught me off guard, didn't expect it to be that mental. It gets even better :)

It really stepped up twenty notches from what I thought it was going to be like. It went from blair witch to evil dead to texas chainsaw in about 10 minutes.

Fucking hell. That garage sequence. I just canít equate this game with the people that made 5 or 6. Itís mental.

Do I shoot these bobble head things? One said to shoot it.

I just knife most of the bobble heads

Anyway Resident Evil 5 is an amazing game, it should never be in the same bracket as RE6

Tbf my memories of 5 aren't that bad, but I did play it co-op the entire way through. It wasn't scary or much in the way of survival horror though. This is much more that end of the spectrum.

I started replaying 5 on the Xbox one a week or two ago. I genuinely loved it when it came out. Was the first game i bothered to 1000G on the 360 just to squeeze every bit of playtime I could. Not played it since though so nearly 9 years-ish?

It's not holding up for me. I forgot just how relentless it is with the shooty action moments. It's non stop action. If you like that kind of thing then fair play but it doesn't feel like a Resi game anymore.

I'm going to try and keep at it though and finish it. Will definitely play the lost in Nightmares DLC too. I remember enjoying that alot.

@richarddavies oh I fucking love it. I love the weapon sets, I love the collecting aspect, I love the Mercenaries. It just plays just perfect for me

And my AI Sheva was just amazing, never in trouble, held her own and was genuinely a pleasure to play alongside

    I love the eggs too

Not sure if it's just the remaster but the AI on the one version for Shiva is dogshit. And I mean dogshit. I'm not exaggerating to say every single fistfight we're in she stands directly behind Chris then just unloads a clip in the back of his head. Its mental. I don't remember her being like that on the 360 at all.

He's currently in the hall farting about. Going to have a think on what to do. I presume the last dog head is behind the projector puzzle but I need to try and lead him away and lose him without getting twatted. Considering reloading an earlier save and going to the bathroom last (after getting the second dog head from the clock), I'll down him upstairs and whilst he's recovering I'll leg it and do the projector puzzle. That sounds like it will work. Even try to leg it from him straight away as I have no bloody ammo at this point and would be nice to have saved some.

One thing that isn't very spoilery, is that it's quite random how and where he appears. You can get lucky.

I did, I got very lucky, actually never saw him again and just assumed he was brown bread until someone on here mentioned being stalked. :)
