May is like the political version of Arsene Wenger, everyone knows she’s past it and has no chance of realistically leading the Conservatives at the next election but will not resign. I am so fed up with this poxy brexit, they should of done no deal right from the start.

Should have. Using “of” makes you sound a bit thick and, as someone who wants no deal, that just can’t be the case.

You must be the Arsenal fan who shouts "Wenger out!" with no clue of what the club does next.

    So the current debate...

Parliament maybe 20-30% full (if even), everyone has a go at saying stuff, the government isn't around it seems (May certainly isn't) or answers to any issues being raised. Just seems like one monologue after the next. I mean, maybe someone takes minutes and conveys it all to May & co, but...

Am I missing something here or is this all a bit pointless time-wasting?

Yeah thought that would be the answer.

Some of the arguments... my word.

"Growth rates with non-EU countries' trade far exceeded those with the EU".

So? And also, shouldn't you also look at absolute numbers rather than percentages? Clowns.

I made a 1000% net profit increase on my signed dickpic eBay business compared to last year, while the wages from my dayjob only increased by 2%. Better quit the job and see if I can sell these pictures for more than 10p a pop!

    who's this about?

Edit: Stephen Lloyd. How come since leaving the coalition they've suddenly discovered they have principles they must stick to?

The last 24 hours have been tragic (well more tragic than usual). It gone back to emotive screaming and shouting.

They had had someone on sky news earlier still maintaining that we have to leave because the EU would never allow us to go back and request to stay in, they would never allow it!

Despite, you know, someone from the EU saying we could just 24 hours earlier. It like everyone has still got their finger in their ears and going lalalalala.

It is quite funny (though exasperating) watching Adam boulton's face at time when he interviewing these people.

Ah, yeah, him. The one who voted for Brexit (as his constituency went that way or whatever). Though it's a resignation rather than a sacking, unless it's a pushing.

ITV have pulled out of the debate so it looks like we are going to be denied the pleasure of watching two Brexiters ‘debate’ each other.

So he still thinks he can get a customs union without freedom of movement? He’s just as bad as her.

    I can't say I'm surprised. Fucking pointless.

Have Channel 5 confirmed they've picked it up yet?

    @TheSaint

Worth bearing in mind that the UK has already secured some major exemptions - not in the Schengen area, didn't join the Euro etc. So it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Whether it's politically achievable is another matter.

I'll be the first to admit that the EU is extremely unlikely to accept entry into the single market without the acceptance of all four freedoms.

But it's possible. And ultimately, free movement of capital is far more important.

So who knows. We don't know what Corbyn has discussed with EU leaders when they've met; I find it hard to imagine he'd say this knowing it's impossible. It's a fucking suicide gamble if he's bullshitting.

But i hold him in much higher esteem than most of you guys, and maybe he is bullshitting.
