Just seen the advert for the Mail on Sunday thing about him tomorrow . He's a useless cunt but there's definitely been a hit job done on him by the press as well. It made him seem like he was poisoning the water with anthrax.

All I've seen from the Mail on Sunday is that one of his ex-wives says he doesn't read books

I suspect that's true of a lot of politicians - bar the ones who also write.

Nadine Dorres is a surprisingly popular fiction author too.

    Tories love novels.

Labour seem to go for diarists.

Caroline Lucas wrote a good book about her first term in parliament. I'd recommend that.

Sayeeda Warsi's Enemy Within about British/Tory/establishment Islamophobia is well worth a read too.

Plus as ever a comment that Owen Jones books from before he became a de facto party political spokesman are both really good pieces of popular political writing.

I just saw on Twitter that he doesn't like visiting historic sites in Europe.

    (I didn't realise he was that pro-Brexit)

Nadine Dorries has written too many books. I was in a shop the other day and saw them, thinking it must be a different name.

Had a quick scan - Call the Midwife esque nonsense about the good old days

On Milneís advice, Corbyn chose to star at the British Kebab Awards rather than attend a major Remain rally.

Family Saga is the genre but yeah, Call the Midwife nostalgia for elderly library users. It's probably in the top two or three genres for borrowers behind crime (definitely number one) and romance (which it vaguely overlaps with)

White jacket with a downtrodden pretty young woman in a shawl, possibly holding a baby, is the cover of every book in the genre. Made it very easy to answer "who else writes like" enquiries when I was a librarian.

Thing is Tories are supposed to be cunts. Thatís their thing. No point in getting annoyed at the Tories for being the Tories. Itís like getting annoyed at water for being wet.

Labour on the other hand are supposed to be above things like endemic racism and backing something that will make the rich richer and the poor poorer. So yeah, fuck Corbyn.

Based in his office overlooking Euston station, Lansman claimed to control 90,000 supporters spread through a hundred groups across the country.

hmmm nothing dodgy about this imagery at all...

He immediately told friends that Parliament was Ďa waste of timeí with no relevance to his Islington constituents, especially the immigrant communities. To meet them, he set up offices in the Red Rose Centre in Holloway where his door was always open to a tide of human misery: Cypriots, Jamaicans, Indians, Pakistanis, South Africans, South Americans, Somalis, West Saharans and Kurds all sought his help.

I thought dacre had retired... ?

He usually ate Tesco beans, not Heinz - not that he would know the difference.
