    Seriously, for fuck's sake.

    Evolving Unicorn land.

How does this level of incompetence get so far, for so long?
Who is standing up to it?
What is the point of any of the checks and balances?

What is going on over there?!

The entire structure of the country that you are proud of is being destroyed right in front of everyones' eyes. Slowly and certainly, without any more than a sliver of resistance.

Supposedly, the EU are near their minimum acceptable no-Deal planning targets but, quite frankly, they/we should start to plan for a failed/rogue UK state at this point.

It's going to be like the world in The Walking Dead, only we got to that scenario without actual zombies just idiot politicians.

Pathetic country deserves pathetic end. I'm going to have zero sympathy for large numbers of people.

Yeah, maybe. I'm going to have huge sympathy for large number of people too though. They've been brainwashed with empire and WW2 bullshit for their whole lives. It's just that lots of those types join the angry brigade and then that sympathy peters out fairly quickly.

    Great paragraph...

Brexit dominated the first 45 minutes and as expected neither man had any answers. But then a lack of realism has been the default position of both Boris and Hunt throughout and they weren’t about to change now. Brexit was something that would happen providing you believed in it enough. What had been missing was someone who would look the EU in the eyes and tell them we were mad and self-destructive enough to trash the entire country to get things done. Of course there would be casualties along the way, but true patriotic Brits should be prepared to lay down their lives so that everyone who survived could be made poorer.

It's an interesting thing; my nephew lives in the UK and can vote as of this year, I wonder how long The Will of The People lasts, has 2% of the electorate changed (died and been eligible to vote) since that Glorious Day? Because if so, is it still the Will of The People

Too many of those that want to stay have been brainwashed that leaving must now be done in the name of ‘democracy’. I know several that think we have to just get on with it, or are bored with them discussing it so we should just leave.

There are plenty of idiots on both sides of the vote.

In London for business for a couple of days and had to bite my tongue already earlier a few times when forced into small talk by the meat head taxi driver... literally the first question was where I was from - and despite my best efforts to dodge it he wouldn't let go until I answered. After I disclosed that I used to live in the UK (just to make him stop patronising me with unheard of secrets forinns wouldn't know like the congestion charge) he asked me whether I liked it (living here). Almost snapped by saying "well given I don't anymore, what do you think?".

Really hope that nobody brings up Brexit during the next days and expects an honest answer from me... After my last conversation with a reluctant, fence sitting Remainer who believes the EU will come to their senses in this negotiation, I have little appetite to be all diplomatic about it.

Didn't realise my little musing required a trigger warning.

Oh well. Worry about the next fare, not me, buddy.

At this point. The "joke" is well and truly worn thin.

    IP ban from EG.

People get reported on twitter to the old bill for less.

The Will of Those People. We will create beautiful art to put in our newly built galleries, glorious portraits of every last one of our 17m heroes who led us to Valhalla and we will be allowed to visit these shrines to leave tribute of cabbage and turnip on our state ratified holidays

1.20am he posted that too. Probably sitting in his parents spare room. Listening to Raul ploughing his mother in the room next door for the 3rd time this week. She's got to pay the bills somehow though, those pot noodles he eats aren't free.

This is the thing that I find most surprising (or maybe not, nowadays) - "Just leave now as had enough of it all".

It is going to consume us for the next 5 years at least (more likely 10).

If bored, remain is the only position to take.

They can say what they like really. In a few weeks time they'll have to be dealing in realities though.

Honestly, I really wonder what more they could possibly expect from the EU. The last one was the best possible deal they could give. Do people really think that it's some evil organisation that is holding back more of the pie or something.

Also, isn't a no-deal technically a hard border with even worse conditions? How could that ever be more acceptable?

    Sadly, yes, they do.
