Interesting how they are now labelling it 'non-frictionless trade with the EU'; they mean WTO trading rules, right? Which was always the end result the Tories wanted for their rich friends. Except now they are allowed to spin it because of their majority. Not even the media challenge them on it anymore.

On the BBC yesterday during their business section they had a Sun pundit of all people (she praised Johnson's leadership skills fwiw). Had to switch in the end.

    Frictionless Trade is dead:

    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/02/11/business/brexit-frictionless-trade/

    "Australia-style deal" is No Deal:

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-australia-trade-deal-brexit-eu-phil-hogan-a9319591.html

But anyone with a few brains cell will already have figured out both of the above.

Forgive my ignorance, but can they still do a no-deal Brexit? Is it as simple as just telling the EU to fuck off at the end of the transition period?

No, because they aren't calling it Brexit anymore because they want to pretend it has already happened

Step 1: Thick gammons blame everything on EU
Step 2, Boris rich cunt friends make a lot of money, especially the ERG cunts

    Yep

Would risk ripping the arse out of the financial services sector though

I was just reading that Johnson wants a deal like Australia - which doesn't have a trade deal with the EU. So No deal then.

Also seems like someone said to him "I've got a bridge to sell you" and he took them up on the idea.

@Rodney it's his attempt to rebrand everything. Brexit is done, transition = implementation period, no deal = Australian Deal. A week or two ago, Downing Street sent a memo to all tory MPs telling them that certain words or phrases are now banned from use when they talk to the public and media outlets. It's some proper Orwellian Shit.

Hmmm, looking through that timeline it's genuinely difficult to tell.

Although there shouldn’t be any Brexit-causes difference in waiting times till the end of this year, should there?

'Colin' is now trending at three in the UK. I think we can expect to see lots more of this kind of tweet over the coming months.

To be honest, the last time was at Schiphol airport (last year) queues were horrendous, and this is also pre-PROPER Brexit.

I have no issue with the Brexit-Bods thinking their choice has caused this now though - it will just get worse.

Heh, I noticed otto’s reply too - does he still post here?

Also the brilliant thing is he said this a couple of weeks ago:

Brilliant weekend celebrating Brexit. Not been on here much. Sank a few yesterday down the local after an enthralling match down the King Power. Where are all the remoaning cyclists who were laughing at me months ago. He who laughs last laughs the longest.

I love the fact that Leavers got to see a taste of what not being in the EU will involve and thats just queuing for passport at the airport. No doubt they will blame the "evil EU for punishing them" as they do mental backflips. I mentioned about this idiot I use to work with, she goes to Ibiza a lot of holidays, long weekends etc and she voted leave. I mentioned leaving will probably mean she will not be able to travel to ibiza so easily and the idiot laughed in my face and something about "spreading fear" I hope she gets stuck at customs/passport checks for hours

Correct, but he doesn't seem to know that, or what the Brexit he voted for actually meant

Someone on that twitter link found one of Colin's tweets on women, can't say I'm surprised what a cunt he is. Hopefully Colin get selected for rubber glove treatment at the airport

Pretty obvious to me (from looking at Twitter) that the red-faced pudgy chaps haven't really been attending to their bingo-winged wives. Lots of repressed aggression from people that look like they want to be extras on Eastenders.
