There's a good DJ Yoda Stranger Things mixtape if anyone like that kind of thing:

I thought season 2 was better than season 1, with the Chicago episode a highlight.

@Nanocrystal I read somewhere that Episode 7 of Season 2 was made for spin-off. It actually was wayward and didn't really add up to the show. Also, read some fan theory that in Season 3 that Eleven (Jane) will eventually get help from her sister.

I genuinely enjoyed season 2 more than 1 overall, but that random episode was one of the worst episodes of TV I've ever seen when you take into account the high quality of the series (and season 1) up to that point. It was truly abysmal.

Haha, that came up when I was chatting with my brother about Stranger Things over the weekend! I rate The Fly higher than this abomination, though I do remember moaning about that one a lot as well.

@jimnastics I'll always defend the fly episode of BB. It was suppose to demonstrate his high level of OCD and perfectionist nature that he would dedicate that much energy to catching a fly.

Ha, that's what I took away from that episode as well. To me, Walter is very much on the border (or very much across it actually, although not from his own perspective) of determination and obsession.

The fly episode does a great job illustrating that. Well, for me it did at least, all assuming that was indeed the makers' intention to begin with.

Def avoiding any trailers, going in blind.
Well pleased that I'll be watching it in 4K HDR OLED goodness though :)

Anyone watched all of it yet then? Does that still happen? Was kind of losing interest towards the end of the last series but the reviews are looking very good.

I'm on episode 3 of the new season but now as there are only 8 of them I'm going to put it on hold for now. Don't want to burn through it too quickly.

I love it, but I must add I love the series as a whole. It upholds the same standards of storytelling and overall quality as far as I'm concerned. Pretty much what I was hoping for really.
You want more Stranger Things, you'll get more Stranger Things :)

Watched Ep 1 at lunchtime today. Liked it. The kids are a bit more grown up, although while three of the boys are broadly as per season 2, Mike is - unfortunately - a dick.

A few laughs, great cinematography and a few 'oooooh' moments.

    Bodes well.

Anyone going to the Stranger Things Secret Cinema thing later in the year? Managed to get a ticket last week.

Watched the first, good to have it back but I thought last season as a whole was a bit weak and a dip in quality.

New girl is clearly Uma Thurmans daughter, she’s so like her mother even down to a similar voice from the sounds of it.

Even if the episodes are all shit they've so nailed the 80s as I remember them (albeit I am a bit younger than the kids in this are). We had less rifts to another dimension though, and less sunny days

    @fontgeeksogood

Yeah, I was having fun just spotting all the immaculately created 80s hairstyles watching it last night.

    Still want to marry Winona.

I like that crazed "loaded on prescription drugs" look she has in her eyes these days.
