Registered 12 years agoDelayed 'til Summer, announced in the panel at SXSW. They showed the limited edition though - that statue is much bigger than I expected. -

Registered 14 years agoYeah, we've been waiting for a couple of decades for another great 2D Sonic game, a few months extra should be okay. -

Registered 12 years ago@ecu I'm pretty sure they said in the stream there wouldn't be any more, but that's a good point RE: Switch. -

SEGA has confirmed that this game is going to have the same price for all platforms so it might be £14.99 on the Switch too.

There's still no confirmation from SEGA so just in case I might pre purchase on Steam. -

Registered 6 years agoThe Sonic CD port he did played beautifully so I might break my no new games embargo for this -

Registered 5 years ago@BigOrkWaaagh There is speculation that there might be physical editions but I wouldn't count on it. I mean it is very likely that it will be downloadable only which is fine by me because I expect it to not take up too much space. -
Its on the Xbox store, if you search for it.
£15.99
Looking good for pricing parity. -

Looks pretty good to me, though. Still not entirely sure about the create an avatar thing though. -

Registered 7 years agoLOL I'm between you two. The thing I like about the Collector's Edition is that you get a Mega Drive replica. I wanted to get a Mega Drive when I was a kid but I was given the SNES "only". How big is the Mega Drive replica? Can you press and move other buttons than the power button (with the Sega chant)?

Registered 14 years agoDon't forget the collectors edition is still just a download code for the actual game. I'm still not sure I understand why they can make all that stuff but they can't press a single disc.
It's a pretty good collectors edition otherwise. -

Registered 7 years ago@Psiloc Yeah, I know. I don't mind a download code in the Collector's Edition but the perfect solution is what Nintendo did with Metroid II, they are including both the physical cartridge and a download code in the bundle. I had to read that part twice. -

Registered 5 years ago@VanillaLake Isn't the download code in that bundle for the original Metroid II, though? -

Registered 7 years ago@DangerousDave_87 Oh, you are right! The name is the same but the download code is for the original game and the physical game is for the remake. So no "freebies" from Nintendo either. -

Registered 7 years ago@ecu I'm about to buy that one too (I have an Xbox One). The game is quite cheap to download (€20) but the Mega Drive replica looks good.
I wouldn't be interested in the Sonic figurine if it was the modern Sonic.
EDIT: Finally, I pre-ordered the collector's edition...
Do you think that the weird ring on the cartridge is for preventing people from inserting it into a real Mega Drive? Its location is puzzling.

I'm pretty sure this will be good, but Flying Battery? Of all the stages to revisit. It was basically Wing Fortress crossed with Metropolis, hardly a classic. -

This might be the first Sonic game I'll have on release day since the first on mega drive.
