I have a fairly powerful fan blowing into the middle of the play area, which offset it somewhat. Gonna need a sweat bucket to wring out the facial interface into though. |

Well it's got full online MP with leagues etc so it looks a lot better than Hoover Junkers imo. What I was referring to was fully released games, not early access and games which are focused on 1 thing, not a collection of experiences like The Lab.
RIGS is an arena battler, right? That's a pretty small scope, it'd have to be amazeballs to have a long life.
Like I said before, most of what I've seen and am interested in is early access, pre beta. I look forward to the games having all their content in them and released, that's all. I don't want a huge 60 hour skyrim type thing - can't imagine playing through all of that with a headset on!
I can see you're not keen on anything PS are doing and that's fine, I'm happy to be able to play both. If PSVR is a huge success it only benefits all of VR so hopefully it will be.
I'm very very keen on Chronos, need to look up ReVive and get on board. -

Registered 17 years agoI'm not anti-PSVR, it just hasn't shown anything to get me excited is all. It's the most affordable of all the options, and the most accessible, so if it's good I'll grab it. So far not so much though.
There are a bunch of fully featured games on Vive/Rift (mainly Rift) not in Early Access/Beta. Just browse these for Rift, for example: https://www.oculus.com/experiences/rift/
The vast majority are finished games, with full content, and with ReVive most should be playable on Vive. They might not be your thing, and maybe you can't see past the small studios that make 'em, but there are dozens and dozens of games.

Registered 17 years agoHonestly, even without proper room scale, if Rift had launched with Touch it would be game over by now. Content is king.
I'm sort of thankful that they fucked it up so badly, because now there are two players on the PC side of VR. Competition, baby. Gotta love it.

Check Steam as well though, because some are on Oculus Store and Steam both, as that's onviously the best place to buy (refunds!) and managegames for Vive owners. -

Registered 13 years agoIt's decent, but didn't quite grab me in the way I'd hoped. In fairness I haven't played in a while, so I haven't tried the challenge / endless modes, which I assume would alleviate the feeling that it's a bit too bitesize. -

Registered 12 years agoWoooah, what just happened?? I tried the rec room and went into some room and there were a few other characters walking around. i thought they were computer controlled until a voice started talking through my speakers. Next thing I knew I was playing catch with some random dude in a virtual world with some sort of football. We were both laughing at the insanity of it all.
1. I had no idea there was MP in this.
2. I had no idea I even had a mic on my pc wtf. I feel like a grandad using a computer for the first time. -

Registered 12 years agoAh so the vive has a built in mic. Very cool. Can't believe how well that worked. Playing catch in a virtual world with another person was realky bloody cool. I need some time off work with this thing. I'll probably be blind in a year. -

Adr1ft has just launched Vive compatibility, and is also half price (£7.49). -

Registered 17 years agoI'd personally skip Adr1ft. It's very intense on the ol' simulator sickness front. Enjoyed what I played (bought in the summer sale) but wouldn't go back to it. -

Registered 13 years agoI bought it in the summer sale as well, never played it. I'll give it a shot at least, I can always just play it on a flat screen if it makes me sick.
I'm tempted to get Modbox, I don't particularly want to play it at the moment but they've planned a future update with a dungeon creator that looks awesome.

Adrift... hmm. Everything I've read about it makes it sound crap, with added motion sickness thrown in for good measure. -

Vanishing Realms is great, but beware terrible AI and a short experience. But, the controls are great, it looks lovely and it is a lot of fun.

Registered 12 years agoSolus project looks cool! My big concern is how do you control it though? If it's that stupid teleporting i'm out. If it's movement with the pad I'll buy it. -

Registered 12 years agoOk so far I've got Elite, Brookhaven, Solus project and vanshing realms. I don't recognise 99% of the games on there. Anything else I should really get now it's on sale? -
