When I first got my Rift I think I spent easily £100+ in the first day or two. Totally worth it. I've been a bit more selective on the Vive though. :)

hehe. yeah but I also only just bought this pc and got a whole load of normal games for it too. Ho hum!

Seems the brookhaven experiment has no movement controls. That's a bit fail for me, movement is important.

Wow that Cyber pong game is actually very cool. there's a demo available. good tunes and a fair amount of movement.

God I love motion controls, I'm so happy to have them back.

There's also a game called Holoball which plays out like a cross between Pong and Squash. In neon.

It's pretty cool, but kinda knackering.

what about Subnautica? Unlike some of the reviews by 12 people etc, it's got 92% positive of 18,169

EDIT - ah, Rift only it seems

Depends on the game. Brookhaven (which I've just tried for the first time myself) is a wave based shooter that wants you to feel trapped. And it fucking works - love how you make no mention of how you shat your pants first time one of the bad guys lunged for you! Or is that why you wanted movement - to retreat at high speed?! :D

It is, at least, room scale. So you can move around in the confines of your play area.

Well I'm now completely convinced vr is not a fad or gimmic. It's the future. No doubt about it

There are minor things to workout but it's ready as is to provide amazing new ways to play games and it's only going to get better.

Minecraft in VR via Vivecraft blew me away.

I'm not a huge MC fan, but seeing your creations in VR takes it to another level.

Actually pretty nervy when a zombie is as tall as you running towards!

    @speed182

That sounds good, so I take it you need to own the game on pc and then download a free patch from that site?

Official support is coming to Rift sometime soon, I think. Not sure if it'll be markedly different to what vivecraft is, but worth bearing in mind.

@Phattso when are the rift controls coming out? Motion controls seem such an integral part of the experience in VR. The magic of holding that torch in Vanishing Realms or swinging your sword / shooting your bow, it's just awesome.

This work day needs to bloody end.

Sometime in Q4 this year. October/November seems a smart bet. They've lined up something like 30+ Touch enabled proper, full, complete games for launch as well. Some will be ports from Vive, most are Rift timed exclusives or first party titles.

Should be a good end to the year.

Cool. Should mean they do a lot more cross platform dev in general hopefully.

I've just been playing Adrift for a little while... I'll be honest, so far it's been awesome. I can see how it could make you queasy, but it's no vomit comet - next to Windlands it's a walk in the park.

I thought this would happen, hence my quick purchase last week. Brexit gaming painz.. only the beginning I fear...

Fuck that over 10% rise in price. Fuck that price being 45% more than the currency difference was too.
I'll be buying from overseas, if I bother.

Don't blame them, blame the brexit voters. This will happen across everything imported, get used to it.

So long as it's done reasonably, fine. I expect increases.

Not 45% over currency fluctuation though. That's ridiculous.

Out of interest, what are you basing your figures on? The Euro price? The dollar price?
