Just got in from watching, jeez that was a bit intense wasn't it. In fairness war is likely not all that calming of a situation to be in, enjoyed it though. least America didn't rewrite history with them coming in and saving the day, just had to make do with bane and the bfg instead ;)

Saw it last night and thought it was very good. What I liked:

    - Multiple perspectives, with overlapping stories
    - Nicely shot, with good music. Very Nolan and maybe not original, but still well done. Footage did all the talking and the limited dialogue was very good.
    - No flag waving nationalism, coupled with a faceless, almost countryless enemy. Yes, we know it was the Germans, but there's not constant references to Jerry or the Hun because it's not needed.
    - No crappy love story

My only major issue (bar the gliding Spitfire shooting down a Stuka) was the way it suggested the small boats were the ones carrying everyone home, when they actually ferried them to the destroyers. Still a vital job mind.

Saw it today. 7.5/10. Great spectacle but not enough narrative. The scenes on the civilian boat were by far the most interesting.
