Probably one of the more random topics of the day, but I just got some tickets for a gig at the o2 arena and never been before. Will be driving from the south-west along the M4 and not a fan of city driving. Anyone been? Should I park up somewhere and get a tube? What's the easiest way? |

Registered 16 years agoHonslow West has a big car park and is near the M4. Just park there and tube it in. -

Depending on your budget you could drive to somewhere like Slough and get an overland train in from there, then have a tube adventure. Be aware of the challenges of getting home again though.
Alternatively, stay on the M4 into Hammersmith and park up somewhere then get on the Piccadilly line. -

Registered 18 years agoTo be honest any station you can find you will already be in the city and finding a parking space near a tube station is a pain in the ass plus you will have to add in tube travel times.
You can get almost all the way to the O2 via motorway and theres plenty of car parking.
Personally I'd stay in the car. -

That said. If you must drive, parking on arrival is generally okay. However, escaping the car park after the show can be a nightmare there, especially if there are traffic problems at the nearby Blackwall Tunnel. -
I think it's cheaper to park in the Cineworld car park, go and 'see a film' (wink wink) and then get your parking money back after the film has finished -
