Get over it honey, sure the whole country has seen your video and you probably get recognised walking down the street, and sure you had to change your name and move across Italy because you couldn't take it anymore, but just forget about what everyone else thinks and get on with your life which has been completely destroyed. After all, it is your fault.

Has anyone seen the video? Why was it being put on phone cases and Tshirts?

Who idea was it to wage a marketing campaign with a sex tape?

Women who wear short skirts are just asking for it.

Haha I was about to say that he sounds like the kind of guy to say that rape victims were asking for it

That's a bit of an inference gents going from she should have foreseen the possible consequence of sending a video to her former lover. A lover who she shared a portion of her life with, who shared lazy sunday afternoons in bed, and who told her he loved her.

Did she not foresee that he might share this vindictive production depicting her getting drilled into the floor and covered in spunk or did she honestly think that he would not react?

It's a stretch to jump from "she had not acted in the purest intentions and maybe is partly to blame" to rape apologist, such a reductive argument not conducive to debate.

I shouldn't feed trolls. I know it. And I know I am going to regret the response to this post. But please, please remember that this ordeal was so traumatic that she committed suicide! After at least two previous attempts. As well as moving from her previous address. I know that EG has usually got no boundaries, but have a heart. Just this once. This is not even remotely funny.

I haven't seen the video but, in it, she apparently makes a comment suggesting she wanted to be filmed. Presumably because she wanted to send it to her ex.

    Backfired.

But I think the only lesson here is... don't do this stuff. Because you'll regret it.

I don't actually think the gender or sexual orientation of the participants matter, they both engaged in trying to humiliate and destroy each other. She was reckless and cruel and he was malicious. I think the real lesson is not to place blame here, but a reminder to never engage in this kind of conflict with an ex. I'm thankful all mine were lovely people.

yes it is. It's tragic but it is funny. The two are not mutually exclusive.

@Vice.Destroyer The previous two suicide attempts, and depression that brought them on, were apparently before any of this happened.

She was not a mentally well person.

I think we can agree that this probably didn't exactly help with her depression or desire to end her life though right?

"You're filming? Bravo" doesn't indicate that she wanted to or what she was going to use it for, just that she didn't mind at the time.

Sounds like a circular argument in here now. Should probably be locked.

Guys, I've skimread the news article on this complex issue and I think everyone needs to hear my opinion on this now

Yeah, this is mental. None of you are particularly wrong. It's just too complicated.

Fact - she sent her ex a vindicative video, sucking off some dude while taunting him (there's transcripts)

This is a bad thing to do.

Fact - he posted a video of this online for all to see with no consent.

This is a bad thing to do.

That's it. None of this should ever result in suicide, of course, but here we are. Not everything has to be so binary - life is complicated and nuanced. You will argue this one to death; no party will win this.
